Expect 4-5km/l on the 2.3. That thing is not efficient whatsoever, contrary to claims of good fuel economy. But you're not buying cos of fuel economy so this shouldn't matter.

Ford supposedly fixed the fumes entering the cabin with an exhaust pipe downwards and a faux tip. That 10R transmission also comes in 2 flavors, but reports of unreliability are still rampant on explorerforums.

These 2 issues, fumes and transmission problems prevented me from getting one.

It folds flat, there's a removable cover that sits atop that compartment to level with the 3rd row seatback.

But agree with you, the trunk does look smaller. Don't know if the shift to RWD affected it.
