Im loving this already. Am sure this will be another home run here considering the way sales are going for the current version. Ford has stepped up big time.

I could be wrong but i think its the Hyundai Palisade that competes against the Explorer. The Sta Fe is in a smaller class.....

Its got full Autonomous parking for parallel and perpendicular spaces. I. E. No need to manage steering OR throttle, brakes. I likey likey.

And the 2nd row folds and moves forward with a button press (not a lever pull) for ease of entry into the 3rd row.

with 500mi range, combined mpg is over 26 for the new 2.3 variant. this is slightly better than the cx9.

I hope the crash rating is better than the outgoing model. Old one is rated poorly by the IIHS.

2.3T's 26mpg+ is better than the 23mpg of the 2.0T santafe

Don’t give EQ ideas like that, he might just do it.

Bro EQ - your garage will surely welcome a bonkers crossover like the new Explorer ST.

Stock 275 tires will not do!

Yeah. This will be an awesome addition since the X5 and Q8 are wayyyyy tooo expensive for me. This ST version checks all the bells and whistles. And you are right... Highly tuneable as well. The transmission can certainly handle it.

The 2.3 is rated at 270 hp. And 400 NM torque. Thats MORE than the cx9.

The 2.3 has way more power than the other SUVs ....pajero wont hold a candle to it in power.

There is also a 500t discount as well for the 2.3L explorer and v6 3.5 explorer. Thats tremendous value.

It will eat the climb up to baguio for breakfast. Heck even a regular Grandia with 120 hp will easily do Baguio.

Im betting most people cannot keep up with the UV express Grandias that race up Kennon and Marcos Highway up to Baguio.

Both vehicles have more than enough power and torque compared to the usual crop of PPVs, vans, or small cars. Kennon Road will be no challenge for these two vehicles.

If going for the Explorer, just go the whole nine yards with the 3.5L Ecoboost Sport AWD. The Mazda CX9 or Explorer 2.3L ain’t going to be fuel efficient so just get the one with most power output.
