I'd want the new Fiesta to have the 1.5L Ecoboost engine used on the Focus/Escape. Something more subtle than the 200PS Fiesta ST.

Looks much larger than the current cramped Fiesta. [emoji1303]

Very unlikely for a 1.5 Turbo to sell. The 1.0 Turbo sold very little, the 1.5 will be pricier and hot hatches have never been a thing here in the PH.

There is already a number of Fiesta 1.0L Ecoboost on the streets. Ford PH even released a view in sedan form. Some owners just drive them lazily when it feels more at home being driven hard.

Yes bro of course there are buyers of the 1.0 (like you). But in the grand scheme of things, very few (775 total Fiestas sold, lagging behind the Yaris, Mazda 2, and Jazz).

The 1.5 has worse FC than the 1.0, and that matters more to most buyers than the extra 50 hp.

If the 1.5 was really in demand, more people should be buying the 1.1M Focus which is the cheapest 170+ hp car you can buy.

The 2018 Fiesta ST is powered by a 3-cylinder 1.5L Ecoboost engine rated at 200 PS (197hp) and 290 Nm. The new engine will propel the car from 0-100 kmh in 6.7 seconds, quicker by a few ticks than the previous Fiesta ST.

This Is The 218 Ford Fiesta ST, And It Has A 2 PS 1.5L Turbo With Cylinder Deactivation

    Now, that's one sick 3-banger!

It looks perfect imo. Design is away from the euro pocket rockets.

Only the new Fiesta ST was officially released. No formal launch yet on an updated standard model. Below is an article of what the new standard model might look like. I'm hoping the new Fiesta will be powered by the EUDM version 1.0L Ecoboost engine rated at 138hp/210Nm.

It's not "how it might look like", it's more like that is how the regular 2018 Fiesta looks like.

The new gen 2018 Fiesta was unveiled at the "Go Further" event in Germany last November 2016, it will go on sale in Europe mid-2017.
