    So many choices. Exciting year for car buyers. Ilabas na lahat sabay sabay and let the buyers choose what they want. Huwag na magantayan mga car brands. Isang bagsakan na lang.

    Iba talaga pag maganda design and fairly price. Nanumbalik na sigla ng ford.

    Pero dati kawawa ford...... hirap na hirap si niky at AG4 magdepensa sa fix or repair daily.

    For the Ecosport, the 1.0L Ecoboost engine will do just fine. The 1.5L Ecoboost does have the extra power and grunt but it is thirstier than the 3-banger turbo.

    It could be soon. Ford Middle East is already promoting this and I think they source it from Thailand like we do.

    The current EcoSport sold in the Middle East comes from India, might be the same case with the refreshed model.
    It looks like China and India(who will also build the USDM EcoSport) will be the first Asian plants to build the refreshed 2018 EcoSport.

    Ford Philippines sources its EcoSports from Ford's Rayong, Thailand plant (which mainly serves markets in South East Asia).
    Currently, Ford Philippines only sources vehicles from Thailand and North America.

    Been planning to try a car restoration project out. Having second thoughts now. The current EcoSport is growing on me; but I'd say the facelift's a better one.

    Specs of the 2018 EcoSport's new 1.5-liter Ti-VCT inline-3 engine are out. (Ford China)
    Displacement: 1497cc
    Power: 88Kw (120PS) * 6500rpm
    Torque: 150Nm * 4500rpm
    Transmission: 5-speed manual or 6-speed SelectShift Automatic (torque converter)

    That's an additional 10PS and 8Nm over the outgoing 1.5-liter Ti-VCT inline-4 engine.



    The flex fuel version of the 1.5-liter inline-3 engine for Brazil makes more power.
    With gasoline = 130PS, 153Nm of torque
    With ethanol = 137PS, 159Nm of torque

    that's the new "dragon" engine, right? they say it'll debut w/ the facelifted ecosport. that means it's basically version 1.000

    so no thanks i'd still opt for the older sigma engine developed by yamaha

    On the bright side the 1.5-liter Dragon Ti-VCT inline-3 adopts proven designs from newer 21st century Ford engines like the integrated exhaust manifold found in the 1.0 & 1.5 EcoBoost and the timing chain of the larger 4-cylinder Duratec engines. (Sigma engines have a timing belt)

    will it have dual injection like the newer coyote engines?
