Grill shape is the same, because that is the new corporate grill, everything else is different.

Knowing how it's based on a Ranger that is much larger than the Hilux the Fortuner is based on, it's safe to say that the Everest is bigger than the Fortuner.
Sides and proportions are different, the first thing you will notice is the Everest is more stretched out, how the front wheels are pushed forward away from the doors.

It seems the Everest has a longer hood a steeper windshield that would appear to make it stretched out.

Visually, the front overhang looks to be similar.

Yup, looks like they did that to the New Ranger & Everest so that they can accommodate bigger/longer engines like the 200PS 3.2 liter inline-5 Duratec TDCi engine.

Considering the size, it actually looks like a land cruiser for me hehe.

It can't be bigger than the Explorer though. It will surely cannibalize big brother's sales.

Price should not exceed 2.1M for a top spec model, too.

hey, stop giving them ideas! mamaya yan nakinig sa iyo at ginawa ngang 2.1M yan. malay mo ang iniisip nila e not too far from the present everest tapos mabasa nila yang suggestion mo e sabihin "uy kaya naman pala nila ng 2.1M, ok let's sell it at 2.1M" e di nagkandalokoloko na. mind you the 2013 totl everest sells for P1.74M, SO STOP SUGGESTING TO THEM A 2+ MILLION PESOS PRICE TAG!

and the totl ford ranger 3.2 wildtrak sells for only P1.549M.

so again, please stop giving them ideas about a higher price. dapat kung magsu-suggest ka ng price e yung mababa, hindi mataas. baliktad kung tumawad e, imbes na pababain e pinapataas mo. ano yan poker?

Is the ford engine "quiet" like the crdi of kia and hyundai? Been checking out the sorento and I like how smooth it runs. This might be worth waiting for.

Hyundai diesels are the quietest. The ford puma engine is not at par.

The all-new Everest won't be as big as the Explorer, since we already know that the Ranger it's based on (it shares the doors and windshiled with the Ranger) is half a foot narrower than the Explorer.

*Not a lot of people realize this, but the New Ranger is just slightly wider than a Focus (while the previous Mazda-based Ranger and current Everest is narrower than a Focus).

I like the concept. I'm planning to replace my eve, but I think I'll have to wait for this one. Looks cool. At first glimpse, I thought I saw a Fortero or a Montuner. heheheee..........

Parang galit ung tunog ng older 2.5, 3.0 TDCi eh. and then there's the Turbo whistle and that "blow off" like noise when you lift your foot of the throttle.

No. But see, it's all depend on the packaging of the engine. Hyundai/Kia put a lot of sound absorbing stuff on the engine itself and the engine bay from top to bottom resulting to quieter engines but ford only put minimum effort to tame its engines thats why noiser compared to koreans.
