I hope the 2.2L TDCi engine will be updated (increased power and torque ratings) before the new Everest is launched. I have driven both the 4x2 A/T and M/T Ranger, the 2.2L TDCi engine suffers from turbo lag kahit naka VGT na. Pag ganun pa rin sa all new Everest, mas matindi ang turbo lag due to its heavier mass.

Ford must learn from the koreans now. Hyundai crdi are really great.

I would be happy if the new power and torque ratings of the 2.2L TDCi engine is 175 ps and 420 Nm, if Ford decides to upgrade it.

Don't forget the rugged body on frame Everest will also offer the Ranger's 200PS 3.2 liter Duratorq TDCi engine.

I'm not sure what they plan for the base engine, but remember they have the powerful 3.2 liter Duratorq TDCi.

They might or will follow what Ford did with the Ranger, using the 2.2L TDCi on the 4x2 variants, and using the 3.2L TDCi on the top of the line 4x4 variant.

What jegger means is Ford should follow what Hyundai/Kia did, small displacement engine with high power and torque ratings.

The front looks like a big ecosport, sides and dimension is fortuner. The rearside is the new everest look but I can't make much of it until we see it in metal.

Grill shape is the same, because that is the new corporate grill, everything else is different.

Knowing how it's based on a Ranger that is much larger than the Hilux the Fortuner is based on, it's safe to say that the Everest is bigger than the Fortuner.
Sides and proportions are different, the first thing you will notice is the Everest is more stretched out, how the front wheels are pushed forward away from the doors.

It seems the Everest has a longer hood a steeper windshield that would appear to make it stretched out.

Visually, the front overhang looks to be similar.

Yup, looks like they did that to the New Ranger & Everest so that they can accommodate bigger/longer engines like the 200PS 3.2 liter inline-5 Duratec TDCi engine.

quick question, ano estimate nyo height nitong all new Everest? assuming from roof rails siguro.

may residential project na needed low clearance to save total height restrictions pero anticipating this suv,
around sakto lang siguro sa clearance nito hehe

It's probabl close to the height of the Ranger Wildtrak since the upcoming Everest is based on the new Ranger (same front doors, windshield etc)
The Ranger Wiltrak has a height of 1815mm (without the roof rails) and 1848mm (with roof rails)

Is the ford engine "quiet" like the crdi of kia and hyundai? Been checking out the sorento and I like how smooth it runs. This might be worth waiting for.

Hyundai diesels are the quietest. The ford puma engine is not at par.
