But with two sunroofs, power tailgate, blind spot monitoring, ford sync, power third row seats, auto parking...... Its good value. Compare it to the santa fe awd (which is more expensive and less capable) and this one wins hands down

Et tu, Louie? Are you also complaining about useless technology just like the guy in the Mazda thread? Hehehe.

100T price premium for the Premium variant is indeed a good value considering the gizmos that are added. This will eat up Ford Explorer sales.

Looking at the Ambiente and Trend A/T units as replacement for our old Everest. What's worrying is the carry-over engines. Hopefully the turbocharger issues have been resolved, otherwise this is a very good buy especially since it's close to the Explorer in size already.

Will have to wait for Fortuner and Montero first then its decision time. Will let others "enjoy" the happiness and pain of having a new model first

Kidding aside this is truly the pricing trend of vehicles when new models come up they tend to go up a little higher if they really know their product will sell like hotcakes and if their model has more tech or performance goodies than the others. Who doesn't want new tech in their cars? I know I want those things in my car but for me it all boils down to reliability and re-sale value down the line. Price and tech-performance bragging rights are garbage if your car spends a lot more time getting fixed and corrected in the casa rather than being driven as it should be :evillaugh:evillaugh:evillaugh

haha, i think push start is a useful feature though, and to be frank I like my cars to be a bit techy regardless kung useful man siya o hindi. I just think if price-wise they want to be competing with Montero and Fortuner they'll have to lower down their pricing as much as possible. But reading the article nakasulat na parang part lang siya ng premium package, I guess all the 4x2 ones will be manual folding seats? My legit concern though is the so-called handsfree navigation, since sa Explorer palang di na sila makaprovide ng maps, and since the new Everest will be using the same SYNC 2 head unit baka ganon rin ang case.

You could vent a hot cabin quicker by tilting open the sunroof, even quicker by opening it. I often did this with our old Kia Carnival.

August/sept deliveries though reservation booklet is getting filled up already. Parang isuzu Mu-x iyan. The 4x2 variants will sell out fast.

I've used the sunroofs in my other cars (well I open the canvas portion not the glass portion) and there is no effect on heat as the aircon can handle it easily. I think it adds more to the airy and open feeling inside especially for the second and third row occupants. Its quite nice.

As for power third row seats its because you can either fold, fold and tumble or fold and stow into the trunk well. You can press a button for those options and for which seat (left right or both) you want to manipulate. Quite handy actually.

    Afaik auto opening lang.

Imho sulit yung 4x4 na 1.9M considering nga na ang SF eh 2.2M. Mas pogi lang SF for me.
