Has anyone tried the DTS chip for their ranger?
How was it?

Greetings Ranger Owners,

Tanong ko lang ano difference ng M/T XLT at A/T XLT in terms of equipment, (have and dont have)

Also dun sa mga naka A/T XLT meron ba paddle shift or +/- or manual mode?

Lastly, is it true na yung A/T pag off ng engine ay may ilaw pa din sa Indicator ng Park mode, (yung letter P sa shifter/kambyo)

WHAT? What do you mean speedometer is slower? So will you recommend for me to chnge my tire to? Im planning to change my tires to 275 55 or 275 60 r20 panaman.... And GPS? You mean like Garmin? Navigator?

And also I only have 2.2l XLT MT.

Stock tires will present speed over that of GPS. Someone earlier posted about it and it is true. Car manufacturers don't want to be sued for overspeeding. GPS will always give you actual ground speed. I use a Garmin Nuvi and Zumo. These run PH maps courtesy of roadguide.ph.

Had to do the 2 inch lift to fit these tires. Don't do the lift and you can use smaller diameter tires.

I checked with the GM of Ford Libis. He confirms that 3.2L has rear diff lock.

oh man - believe it or not .. my 5 day old ranger just got hit by a van today.. hayy... naatrasan ako ng babae na nagaaral pa lang magdrive - nagingat pa naman ako tapos ganun ganun lang.. oh well.. **** happens.

di po yung cruise control ang di ko magawa.. yung autolock by speed..

Are you referring to limited slip diff or diff lock? Because these are different. AFAIK all ranger has lsd.

The Ford GM reply: "...yes your unit is equipped with locking differential system at the rear only." You may be right that it is LSD. Haven't lifted the rig to test it.

Sorry but I beg to disagree. Tho I drive the 2.2, I've driven and owned other 3.0 and 3.2 engined rigs with much better low end torque. The 2.2, even if its manual will always be inferior to the 3.2.

Yeah, as the saying goes: "there is no replacement for displacement." Having said that, if you really plan to use the rig for off roading, one would really benefit from the low end torque of the 3.2.

But then again, it all depends on what you consider as "off roading."

Mga Sir pa help naman, i'm planning to buy Ranger 4x2 M/T lang and i'm from Batangas, problem is yun branches dito haba ng mga pila, minimum ang 4weeks na paghihintay, my question is may alam ba kayo kahit san Branch medyo madali kumuha ng unit? O lahat ng branch ganon din?

Please help anyone, or kung meron dyan makakatulong sa'kin makakuha ng unit yun di naman masyado matagal ang waiting please PM me.

I think the wait for a 2.2L is much shorter than a 3.2L. I had to wait 8 weeks for my 3.2L. Fortunately, it came in the color I wanted.

If you want a unit go to Ford Balintawak they only need 1% DI.

*hardright, i mean you have the 3.2 wildtrak right? If it has difflock you should have a button on the dash to activate it.. you dont need to check the diff if it has a locker.

The only buttons I see are traction control and hill assist. There's a knob for 2H, 4H and 4L. I think we already got confirmation it is only LSD.

according to my friend, RHD 3.2 Ranger lang ang me difflock.

To cater for the Aussie market.

I wonder how much it would cost to have the kit installed. Years ago, the Nissan Patrol 4X2 had a kit available to upgrade it to 4X4. The 4X2 was offered then as the excise tax was higher for 4X4.

its rainy season already. do not forget to TURN OFF YOUR AUTOWIPER when going to refill at gas stations, some attendants will automatically clean your windshield without asking permission, magugulat nalang sila bigla gagalaw wiper, worst baka masira wiper natin... happened to me twice already, hehe.
