2012 Ford Ranger

By the way, Ive only owned this car 3 days pa lang, but here are the pros and cons.

Pro:

-Big car (also a con, will explain later)
-inside the car, you dont feel like you're in a pickup , rather you feel like you're in a big SUV, ample space inside. Maluwag sa likod. Since umuulan at wala pang cover sa likod, nagkasya ako, my wife, yaya and 2 preschoolers tapos yung mga gamit sa back seat rin..Maluwag pa rin

-Audio system (not the speaker, speaker is mid range lang)

- Dito ako natuwa, once you paired your iphone to the radio system, lo and behold!!
- You can make calls hands free using the car speaker.
- Obviously you can play music through your phone, pero ang ok dito you dont have to do anything , once you step inside it will automatically play the last song you played when you step out right at the last second w/o touching anything.. Parang CD lang na linagay mo tapos pagpinatay mo makina eh hihinto dun sa last second ng song tapos pag on mo play from there.. Ganun din eto, pero through your iphone. Kahit nasa bulsa yung phone mo basta pagtapak mo sa loob play agad

-Voice activate

-Call, answer calls, play music through voice command. madali lang.

-Aesthetic - need i say more

-Autowiper - As soon as droplets of rain hits it, mag o-on yung wiper , pagmalakas yung ulan magaadjust yung speed according sa lakas ng ulan.

-Hindi matagtag

-Good fuel consumption so far, since bago lang. I did already 130Km, 100% citi driving including 3 hour gapang-stuck traffic. Average so far at 10.5 L/ 100Km

-Stepboard and bed liner included on the price

-Decent turning radius, kahit malaki nakaka U-turn naman ako ng maayos. Tested in Makati Med parking

-Lots of compartments, for laptops, shades, coins, secret compartment under passenger seats etc..

Cons:

Eto cons naman...

-Cant put back sensor...for now..

- akala ko ok na, i paid ford to install the back sensor , the day of the release sabi nila di daw kaya kasi chrome yung paglalagyan , may risk daw ma crack. So nag pa refund na lang ako. With car this big, I think back sensor is a must

-Since its a big car

- hirap magpark , lalo na kung narrow ang parking.

-They have a diff way of locking the car, may button to press to lock the car pero from the outside lang. Kung from the inside, you can still open the doors kahit lock., for me with kids, naka child lock na lang both doors at the back for safety reason.

-No heater on the AC, either outside air temp or cold lang.


Not sure if its cons or pro, pero mataas to, buti na lang kasama yung stepboard , kung medyo maliit-liit ka ang hirap umakyat.

-Honestly, so far , hard to think of other cons

ingat lang po sa gimik ng bangko. usually ang free insurance promo is covered for the first year. Kaya lang kadalasan may fine print sa insurance contract na hindi nababasa dahil sa kaliitan ng font. after 1 year hindi ka puwede kumuha sa iba at nakatali ka sa insurance company na accredited ng bank hangang matapos ang term ng loan mo. idadale ka sa 2nd year 3rd year, etc. dahil napakamahal ng premium na sisingilin sa iyo.

Kaya basahin niyo muna ang contract bago kayo kumuha.

Sir may I ask what bank and how much interest dun sa bank nyo?

Mahal po yan. ano yan bank or inhouse? if you got that from a bank mahal yan. they quoted you an "add-on rate method" which is already prohibited by bangko sentral ng pilipinas circular 730 effective july 2012 since addon rate methods are misleading and not transparent.

Ang pwede quote ng bangko ngayon is the "effective rate method" so look for another bank that complies with bsp cir 730.

boss, Free insurance ng metro, promo yun at free diesel worth 3k * 3year terms at after 3 months ka pa mag babayad ng monthly matic kukunin ko, nung una ayaw pumayag ng SA pero kung di ko magagamit yung free insurance di na ko kukuha ng ranger, sabi nya inilapit nya raw sa big boss nya ok n daw..

The AT of the Ranger uses a traditional torque converter, it does not use the dual-clutch Powershift system.

Manual, Ford said ako daw yung pinakauna sa manual. Pero 3rd overall.

oo nga, i still need to figure out how to install a back sensor, medyo mahirap pag wala talaga.

Bossing, pwede na try ko na maglagay ng back up sensor sa strada ko before. Chrome / stainless yung rear bumper. My advice is that dapat magaling yung installer. Sukatin muna bago butasan. Sa banawe ko siya nag pa install. Hope this would help

first time namin bumili ng pick-up.
share ko na din po, dapat po nung friday ilalabas na namin yung dmax kaso na late na yung mc at wala si mrs para sa pirma niya.
kahapon nakita lang ng dad ko yung ranger sa SM, ayun, tawag agad sila sakin,
"boy maganda ba yung ford ranger. 2.2 daw makina" etc etc, tapos sabi ko agad, "wag panget yan (naisip ko kasi yung luma, "parang" bagsak review) ay teka-teka search ko" ayun, and then saw this thread kahapon at yung post ni sir kerv, then nasabi ko na lang
"yan na lang pala sige, yan na lang kunin natin ang ganda daw sabi sa net"
tom try ko po magpost ng picture, ngayon mag offline muna ko, hihimasin ko muna si power ranger blue.

sir tawag ka lang sa ford san fernando, may 3 pa ata. 2 kami nagrelease kanina, yung isa po black. sana maging ok lahat first time namin magka pick up eh.. kakainis lang kasi malamig panahon, di ko muna pinakabit yung tint baka magkaproblema (grabe ang mahal, mas mahal pa sa v-cool) and walang stock nung roll bar (CMIIW na lang po) basta yung bakal sa likod, order basis lang, pagbalik ko na lang, sabay sa tint.
share lang po ulit.
Compare ko lang po sa montero and starex, tingin ko lang po ito.
Montero 10 A/T=mas tahimik makina at konti malambot yung ride.
Starex 07 Crdi M/T= mas maingay makina at mas harsh yung ride.

Sir! tumawag sa akin yung SA namin may parating daw na XL ngayon linggo sa Ford Balintawak. Baka may mga lumabas na XL ngayon sa mga branches. Kung makita ko man sya picturan ko para sa makita nating lahat dito sa mga hindi pa nakakikita.

ouch, medyo nakakalungkot naman pag dumating yun sa lingo, 4x4 is still 4x4. gusto ko kasi isagad na pagbili ng pick-up kasi nga first time namin sa ganitong type, haist T_T. oh well, wala na magagawa kung dadating na, atleast wala pa ko nakikita dito samin sa malolos na ranger.
pero sabi nung mga tiga ford, next year DaW.

guys ito pala yung tint nila, 5 years warranty. hindi libre!
freebies are, bedliner, 1 piece!!! YES, isang mat sa driver side. di ko na maalala, konti lang kasi, sa dmax madami.
yung bedliner nga po pala hindi na magiging freebies sa mga susunod na buwan, SA po nagsabi niyan, so hindi po ako sure.
tapos maarte yung voice command/control slang dapat, kidding aside just pronounce it right.
interior, hmmm, ok lang simple yet ellegant, may pagka classic?? basta wag kayo masyado magexpect ng flashy interior, i don't know sa 4v4 variant.
at nako! yung back sensor dapat magawan ng paraan tsk tsk. wala pa din daw nagpapakabit sakanila sabi sa acc/maintenance ng ford san fernando.
yan muna.. basta, masarap talaga at masaya ang first time
