January 29th, 2013 10:30 PM #2121Good eve Guys. Long time lurker dito sa tsikot forum. Finally proud owner na rin ng 2.2 Ford Ranger XLT. My Son calls him "Agent Sidekick Warrior".

January 30th, 2013 01:22 AM #2126I just got my Blue Automatic today from Ford Tarlac. I had the same problem but I realized that it could be easily adjusted. I love the fact that the fuel tank is a push to open deal as long as your doors are unlocked.
Does anyone know if the XLT has the autoock through speed mechanism?
There's also a White XLT Manual Transmission available. PM me if your interested!

January 30th, 2013 03:52 AM #2127yes, it has speed activated auto lock, i think around 5 to 10kph... if your unit does not, then you have to enable it. thr procedure is in the owner's manual. it was also discussed here, you can back read if you have time, you may need to do the procedue more than once to enable it.
you may need to close all doors and locked (icon lit) before doing the procedure.

Thanks sir. All I can say is best value for money ang Ford ranger na to. I was about to settle for another brand of pick-up na lang sana due to availability of the unit since gusto ko na mag-uwi ng pickup just before mag pasko. haba kasi ng pila ng ranger. kaso sobrang gusto talaga namin ang ranger so ayun nakapagtiis naman kahit papano. almost 2mos din. but still worth the wait talaga ang ranger. sa looks pa lang lamang na lamang na... In terms of ride comfort, hindi matagtag compared sa dmax namin. parang suv. minimal yung noise ng engine. tahimik sa loob. dati, parang may doubt rin ako sa 2.2L engine considering its body size. pero na-aamaze ako sa acceleration & speed nya. For a 2.2L engine, di naman cya mapapahiya kahit papano. Mabilis na cya for me. tingin ko mas mabilis pa nga cya sa 2008 everest & 2.5 fortuner(nonVNT) namin. Manual ang unit btw. pag labas pa lang ng casa, namatayan na agad ako ng makina and again nung magka traffic. iba kasi timing ng clutch to accelerator. pero sanayan lang talaga, ngayon very easy na lang. gusto ko yung pagka advance ng features nya compared to other pick ups. My samsung galaxy note 2's contacts/music was successfully paired also to the cars bluetooth & voice control. i love the rangers voice control, its convenience of making/accepting calls. iwas disgrasya. Di na rin kailangan maglagay ng aux wires for car audio when playing movies/music playlist/ or youtube streaming on my note 2 & ipad. Happy & proud ranger owner talaga.
Sa mga manual owners, do we need to follow the green up arrow indicator in shifting to higher gear? di ba nakakasira ng transmission?

January 31st, 2013 02:02 AM #2130Congrats on your new ride sir mosi! Absolutely no regrets talaga.. I had a personal record with my Ranger lately, was able to go uphill at more than 140kph when i followed a UN LC70 Landcruiser. Kaya pala nya makipagsabayan sa LC70, or hinintay lang yata nya ako na mag attempt ng overtake..
Naalala ko iyong 2013 SJ Forester ng relative namin. FMC change siya ng time na nakuha sa casa. ...
