Yes agree. I'm sure Ford will not let their best selling pickup down. Maaayos yan.

If you guys remember, earlier in this thread i vented out my disappointment about the Ranger's turbo problems and that we were getting a Hilux instead because of the latter. Well guess what due to unexpected circumstances, we ended up getting a Ranger XLT M/T last december :P so far it has already clocked up 2700++ kms and its performance is still excellent, which has somewhat relieved my fears about the turbo or intercooler having some early issues.

I do hope it stays reliable tho, otherwise the new Navara is actually an interesting proposition hehe

So you're saying when you start seeing the problems, you'll switch to new Navara? You should've wait for the Ford Ranger Facelift instead Just saying..

We needed a new truck asap and couldn't wait for the facelifted Ranger. And personally, i find the current model better looking than the facelifted one hehe. If i start experiencing the problems i'll probably keep optimistic for them to be fixed and if the problems don't disappear we might consider the Navara. But that's a big IF hehe

ill bet you wont have any turbo problems....

more than 7,000 ranger units sold last year... dadalawa o tatlo palang ang nabalitaan ko na may turbo problems...

siguro naman sa 7k ranger owners.. its normal lang na meron na lalabas na may factory defect...

out of 100 kung may lumabas na isa... i can say its normal....

    nothing is perfect...

meron akong friend he was first considering the ranger.. sabi ko mag hilux ka nalang..

ayun sira agad transmission and there's something wrong with the brakes ata...?

it doesnt mean na lemon na agad ang hilux....

ngayon he is asking me kung nag loloko na ba daw yung turbo ko.. sabi ko so far at 22k kms.. wala naman..
meron lang talagang sigurong matyetyempuhan.. he.he.

Agree that a facelift is a better option rather than going all new again.

OT: Mga tsikoteers, what can you say about sa specs ng np300? Totoo kaya na hindi matagtag ito compare sa traditional leaf springs ng ranger natin?

My 2012 Ranger has 44k+ right now. So far no problems at all. The only service I've done is the PMS. I do have issues with the schedule appointments that ford has. Apparently your schedule time does not exactly happens at the time of your appointment. Usallly 1-2hrs after. I already brought it up with customer service and they said they will try to improve. Other than that I'm very happy with my Ranger...

Anyone replaced their battery? What battery pinalit niyo po? I replaced mine with motolite gold DIN66. Ok lang ba yun? Mas maliit sya compared to stock original ng ranger natin. Unit is 3.2 a/t.

Marhay na Aldaw (Good Morning) Rangers!

Ive been reading this thread for more than a week but im just on the 200th+ post... I think it will take me more than a month (from the start to the current post) reading all of this that's why I decided to post and ask this questions. Im a totally newbie in the pick up segment and this will be my first time to acquire a brand new one.

My wife and I have decided to just narrow our choices between XLT and Mitsubishi Strada 4x4 GLS V.

We got a great promo on the strada but we can help ourselves taking a second look on the ranger. Kahit ako eh "nababading" sa Ranger, Macho talaga.

Ive already read about the strada and so far ok ang reviews sa kanya, medyo were just a little bit worried sa Ranger since based on this thread eh medyo may mga issues pa rin yata ito. Now the questions are:

    1. Does the turbo problems still exists?
    2. Rust issues?
    3. delay in acceleration
    4. poor headlight illumination
    4. Is part availability still an issue?
    5. In case we have a problem with the unit, dapat ba doon din mismo sa dealer namin dalhin ito or will the nearest dealer should entertain us? (im from albay and we might get the unit from manila)
    6. any major issues with the XLT itself?
    7. Sa mga Oragon Rangers, what can you say about the service provided by the Naga Branch?

I will highly appreciate your comments/inputs/suggestions.

    Mabalos

Sir, you have good choices there. However, if you don't mind, an all-new model is due for the Strada coming this March while there will be a facelift for the Ranger somewhere this year. Just a note.

You could look at the all-new NP300 Navara as well, which has a great introductory pricing. I just don't know if there's a near Nissan dealer in your place, though.

Btw, I guess you can't go wrong w/ any of these three. But for me, the Ranger is still the best-looker among them.
