2012 Ford Ranger

informative post, thanks, what the hell are these welds FORD? Visually rejected, how much more if we'll conduct NDE?
Hire an AWS CWI to get your welds inspected, huwag magtipid FORD.
I remember 2009, Nissan has recalled it's Frontier in the US due to poor quality welds.
I checked my Japs ,made truck & thus far good compared to these photos.

I challenge FORD if you understand welding, Fiks it Or Repair Daily.

Second: Some of the Pics from above show Rust. Its brand new? how come there's rust? what no rust proofing?

Third:The Window Visor - looks like its glued/taped on with the excess glue/tape STICKING OUT?

Fourth: the Bed Liner, Yes the problem is that it does not cover the TOPS of the BED WALL. people and cargo tend scratch that area most.

Fifth: The steering wheel. For such a BIG car it has such a TINY steering wheel like the size of Honda City. But I can Live with that.

BUT MY MAIN CONCERN is the WELDS and the RUST

My Bro said there is a reason why the welds are bad on the DISPLAY model. The Display Ranger was most likely built by hand. I think I remember reading an article that they built display models in advance and built them by hand and not in ASSEMBLY LINES with ROBOT's. SO technically speaking the display model is NOT really the MASS PRODUCTION MODEL.

They say, first impressions do last.

If that unit is the first thing that a prospective buyer will see, chances are they will be hesitant on getting a unit because of poor construction. No matter how you argue with the client, s/he would still be doubtful on how the "actual unit" is put together.

Second, some dealers do sell their showroom units. Kawawa naman yung buyer niyang showroom unit na yan kung ganyan ang condition.

ford davao sales say it will arrive in davao on july 2012

2.2 xlt have no hill descent control
only widtrack have full pautot
while 2.2 4x4 xl have no vgt its intended for company car with 115hp only
wildtract will cost about 1.5 million
and they say 3.2 might not land in asia cause it will cost more and its 5 cylinder

yes it will arrive at Ford Dealerships at July 2012 in three models 4x2 XLT M/T and A/T, and the 4x4 XL. We reserved one antagal maghintay

. for those who want to check it out. a display unit is available at FORD GH. final specs are present in the brochure. some specs might not be included from the MIAS display unit. like the cruise control. I really want a 4x2 wildtrak though unfortunately it will only be in 4x4 form.

If this is true then they shouldn't label it as a "Global Ranger"

They are refering to the vehicle and not the specific trim or engine option, same case with models from other brands.
I think the 3.2 might still be sold here in the future.

PS: The 3.2 liter Duratorq TDCi engine is offered in Thailand.
Its available in the top of the line Double Cab 3.2L 4x4 Wildtrak.

After reading most of the posts here, can anybody tell me what is in the lcd display? on the multi information screen? its functions?
Can it all be replaced with a new head unit with gps function? this is what I am looking for, what has to be done about it since there is no gps, back up sensor or back up camera. The 2.2 engine is good enough for me since it is vgt and 6 speed, so I go for this one.

^^^ It's real wheel drive. All pickups are rear wheel drive or four wheel drive. Whatever gave you the idea it's front wheel drive?

Ford Ranger 2012 with 285/50/20. Di ko lang tlga type yung bars. Mgnda sana yun sa wildtrak. ORANGE din gsto ko kaso walang orange na XLT. Wildtrak lang.

Ayus ang ford ngaun ah. New ford RANGER, ford FOCUS and ford ESCAPE. Sana di nila tanggalin ang Park Assist ng focus pag dating dito sa pinas :D Di kasi ako magaling mg park hahaha! Sabay sabay kayang ilalabas to?
