No more free labor this time. Sabi nila, discounted na daw yun lahat sa oil, filter at labor costs.
Yung warranty sa cowl, I am the first one to claim sa kanila. I brought them a copy of the TSB.
They made thorough investigation and checking following the TSB information and my first hand knowledge.
Pinicturan nila at email sa planta. I was told na sabi daw ng FORD na ayusin lang ang cowl uli which they did and observe na lang daw if ganun pa rin before they will take the necessary action again! But I protested! and they promised to follow up on me next time.
I have talked to Dave and their service department head(I assumed) and then yung mechanic na naka assign sa unit ko. They were actually aware and already informed FORD Thailand about the issue as well but nothing has been relayed to them so far. They are waiting for instruction on how to fix the issue.
Correct!
Ang kaso lang 585 pages na itong thread na ito, so it means there are so many people who are so enamored with the ford ranger they are willing to either wait or pay. At ilan yung nag give up na waiting for a 3.2 at nag-settle na lang for a 2.2 ranger (no intentions of degrading the 2.2 ha, just stating a fact that the better ranger is the 3.2).
kaya show them that you are the boss at hindi ka luluhod para lang makuha ang ranger.
Thanks in advance.

Engine Oil Level Woes
Hey guys, I need some help. A few months ago I had my Ranger 2.2 XLT serviced in Ford Libis. Everything was peachy except for the engine oil. For some reason, every time I checked the oil level it showed that the oil was only up to half of the hashmarks of the dipstick only. My experience with older cars suggest that engine oil should always be up to the top end of the hashmarks because that's the way the dip stick was designed. To remove ambiguity most carmakers calibrate the dipstick that way. When I went to Ford Global to ask them about the engine oil level, they told me that it was indeed low. They said it has to reach up to the top end of the hask marks of the dip stick.
Ford Libis has a different opinion. They're saying that it has to be at the bottom end of the hashmarks because oil expands through heat. I'm getting mixed signals from two dealers and even the owner's manual. Can anyone help?
For libis don't know what they are talking about. Top mark means maximum, low mark means minimum. So the oil level should never be more than the top mark nor should it be less than the low mark.
Some (not all) engine oil dip sticks have 2 sets of marks, each on opposite sides of the dip stick end. One is labeled "COLD" or "C" and the other is labeled "HOT" or "H". You use the cold marks when the engine is cold and the hot marks when then engine is hot.
normal lang yang sa iyo na in between high and low.

Hi guys. Ok ba yun 4x4 XL? Its the least expensive 4x4 variant kasi. Still doing my assignment on the work trucks. Yes, I know this is the ranger thread.

I actually like the 4x4 XL - it's a no-frills 4x4 with the usual Ranger high ground clearance, good looks, and tough chassis, all at a good price. Plus, it comes in that dark grey color that I wish was offered on the XLT too.
I can't say for certain that the 4x4 XL will be more durable than a Strada GLX 4x4 or D-Max 4x4 LT, but I've had no problems with my Ranger (whether engine, suspension, or electronics).
Backup cams are installed via rear-view mirrors (similar to the Wildtrak). There are sellers of this on FCP and Ranger FB groups.
All other 4x4 pickups are crude workhorses, but the Ranger 4x4 XL is noticeably more refined and is equally nice as a daily drive as it is a beast of burden.
