2011 Ford Mustang (new engines & performance package)

The 2011 Mustang finally gets a new standard V6!
It now has a 3.7 liter Ti-VCT V6 that makes 305 hp and 280 ft-lb of torque.

The new Mustang V6 will be available with a 6-speed MT and a 6-speed AT.

Confirmed: 2011 Ford Mustang GT to offer 412-horsepower 5.0-liter V8

Thanks to a loose-lipped Facebookian that couldn't help sharing insider information and a quick follow-up post from Inside Line, we can now confirm the return of the iconic 5.0-liter Mustang GT for 2011. Even better news is the fact that the Mustang GT's new mill will crank out an impressive 412 horsepower.

By way of comparison, the 2010 Chevy Camaro SS has a 6.2-liter V8 with as much as 422 horses when mated to a six-speed manual and the 2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8 has a 6.1-liter Hemi that offers 425 ponies. And remember, both of those rivals are considerably heavier than the Mustang.

As much as we'd like to unload more goods on the 2011 Mustang, you'll just have to wait until Ford's good and ready. Or someone blows another embargo, whichever comes first.

I like muscle car but with the price of gasoline here in the Philippines its not practical to have but for Car shows its the best entry.

^^ If you can afford it, you should also be able to handle it's gas fees.

With the price of it , only the VERY rich ones would be able to buy it ... especially with the pricing scheme here in the Philippines.

^^Absolutely. Plus, the fuel economy shouldn't be much different from the Subaru STI, Mitsu EVO or Nissan 370z, which are all sold here and require premium high octane gas. At least not a drastic difference. Those cars find buyers here, and no doubt so would the 2011 Mustang.

Since Chevrolet has decided to offer the new Camaro here (albeit at an inflated price), it'd be nice to see Ford do the same for the new Mustang. I don't really see it happening though.
