the doors can still be opened from the inside even though its locked. from the outside di mo siya mabubuksan. so if you have rowdy kids on board, best to use the child lock feature :D

Good Evening mga sirs, question lang, I might have missed it on the manual, pero when I lock the doors, di ba yun yung button above the hazard button, then pag nakailaw siya, ibig sabihin naka lock yung doors. Tama ba?

Yes tama... If the yellow LED is ON, then its locked...

Kasi ang nangyari, naka lock na siya. Then nung bababa na ung passenger ko sa likod, pagbukas niya ng door niya nag open naman siya even though di ko pa ni pe press uli yung lock button. So I was wondering, is there a problem with my locks? Thanks in advance!

There is no problem with your locks. Locks can be disengaged from the INSIDE with ANY DOOR even with rear doors if the child locks are not activated...

I think I read somewhere na meron parang keyhole dun sa doors na kelangan mong susian, nalimutan ko lang kung anu purpose nun.

Yun na nga yung child lock so even if a child opens the door if won't open from the INSIDE, it can only be opened from the OUTSIDE...

yes tama sir, kahit naka engage na yung central lock nabubuksan talaga sya from inside. sanay kasi tayo na meron bukasan ng pinto/alarm. in other cars kahit naman naka engage ang central lock mububuksan mo pa din naman from inside kung unlock mo yung door lock. same lang naman. hth

Got confused with this one, so when Child lock is activated, the doors cant be opened whether the doors are locked or unlocked and the only way to open this is from the outside when the doors are unlocked. Is this correct? Thanks again. :D

Correct! Maskin ano pa gawin mo if child lock is activated it can only be opened from the outside assuming the car is already unlocked...

I see! Thank you mga sirs, iniisip ko kasi na medyo delikado siya pg ganun, kasi a child may accidentally open the door, unlike a traditional locking mechanism wherein you need to lift up the lock first, before being able to open the doors. I guess the child should always sit at the center then or always beside an adult.

What the?! Paano nila binuksan yan? Mine is solidly flush on the console.
Sana may aftermarket accessory to replace that cover, and have a drawer/compartment in that cavity. Wala ako mapaglagyan nang pera (I usually leave cash for parking, etc).

Push lock/unlock mechanisms would be the most elegant approach, with an additional spring hinges of course, to make it pop out when opening.
