2005 Ford Escape won't start

My ford escape 2005 wont start =( dati wala namang nagiging problema nung holyweek lang...pinackeck na namin sa mekaniko namin he said fan belt lang daw then pinalitan na pro it wont start pa rin. Pinatow ko na sa ford pampanga which is the nearest service station kung saan ako nasiraan. Then the general diagnosis are: engine wont start, time belt(out of timing), clogged fuel filter, and low charging of alternator. They need to replace new timing belt(6500php)pulley tensioner(6500php), pulley assy idler(3500php), fuel filter(2090php) and alternator ( 38,000). Tama ba itong mga presyong ito lalo na yung alternator? Para gusto kong himatayin sa mahal. ANd the fact na inu-unti unti nila sakin sabihin kung anong papalitan then ang latest nga na papalitan eh yung alternator na shocking sa mahal. Kailangan ba tlagang palitan. =( at ganito b tlga ang presyo o niloloko lang ako ng FORD PAMPANGA...help naman po

Who knows baka battery lang yan diba?

One highly recommended shop here in Tsikot is Speedyfix along Shaw Boulevard.

bka mahal lang talga sir sa Ford dealer. kung mag google ka. e nasa $200-250 lang kasama na tax+shipping. so cguro 10k-12k+. depende rin sa brand.

agree ako kay isay. pa 2nd opinion and 3rd or 4th pa.

La naman problema daw sa engine battery...tinawagan ko na rin yung speedyfix kapag bumili ako ng replacement ng alternator di pa daw sure kung may makukuha agad =(. i tried na rin yung 2nd opinion papalitan din daw yung alternator which 14500 ang di ko lang sure kung brand new ba ang sabi nya oo daw pro pano ko naman malalaman kung brand new. the 3rd opinion parepair ko daw yung alternator...hay... nung april 1 pa yung sasakyan ko di pa rin nagagawa napalitan na lahat na pinapapalitan yung alternator lang tlga ang hindi pa dahil kakasabi lang nila sakin kala ko nga tapos na kapagnapalitan na yung mga sinabi nila tapos biglang may alternator pa huhuhuhu...stress na ko =(

Why don't you check first with Ford/Mazda shops in Banawe (e.g. Ford Autorama). They usually sell it lower than the casas. I think the Escape also uses Mazda parts. If the alternator is really busted, it may be good to replace it with brand new.

Alternator is for charging lang di ba? So technically dapat tumakbo yan hanggat may battery pa. Iilaw lang ang CEL. Bakit ayaw mag-start?

Pa check mo iyong ignition coil o igniter type iyan baka walang kuryente.

sir jtfunky...yung mechanic mo ba gumawaga ng exped? the reason why ako sa iyo nag tatanong kasi ugali ng mga mekaniko na sabihing kaya nila lahat gawin any make or model..sabay manghuhula lang pala.

you just need a good mechanic to call. hindi makatarungan ang quotation na yan. you can try my mechanic here is his number 09995411898. forget the casa marami pang alternative options that you can try with just the fraction of the cost. grabe talga ang mga casa na yan.
