Does anyone know where I can buy coconuts that are cut this way? There are a lot of comments saying it is common the Philippines?!!? I have never seen that kind of mad skillz in cutting coconut! The coconut is cut with the meat and juice intact and shaped like a ball. Wow!!! I am obsessed!

Meron dito sa paranaque, dito sa Lopez. The coconut vendor use the "sungay ng kalabaw" tool thing. Common yan sa Batangas.

Really?!?!

Yun nga lang hindi yun pwedeng i-carve out from the shell.

Maraming nagtitinda roon.... Mura pa...

if you have space sa bakuran - try mo magtanim.
in a few years - me sarili ka nang supply ng fresh coconuts. 😀

my father used to have a few coconut trees nung nasa bukid pa kami. every corner of his lot me tanim. i remember na me macapuno pa syang puno noon.
come holiday season - pahirapn kami magkayod para sa salad.
