'twas mothers' day. and i suddenly remembered.
mom used to make the best burgers.
she would just get a handful of giniling from the mass of giniling from the ref, shape it into a patty of the right size, then plop the all-giniling patty onto the skillet.
strangely, henry ford's chef did the same thing... "best burger in the world", according to ol' henry.

For me... The Best Burger is McDonald's Quarter Pounder.
(Second is the Big Mac, some countries don't have the Quarter Pounder)

There are fancier burgers, and yes they are "better" than McDonald's
BUT... I can't eat them everyday. Yes, I can eat McDonald's burgers everyday.

An FB post reminded me of this thread... They brought their mom to a burger restaurant and "na-umay" daw mom nila sa laki nung burger.

Personally, di ako naniniwala sa "umay." If your favorite food or a food that suits your taste is served, kain ka lang ng kain hanggang sasabog ka na... So since na-umay ka sa food, maybe it's just not for you.
I know people who cannot finish a burger, pero may extra rice kapag kumakain ng burger steak.

so, your "best burger" is the one that is easily available to you. within gustatory limits, of course.
tama nga naman ang logic. lexus is probably superior, but vios is more easily within purchasing range...

    it's in quality not quantity.

You're not getting the ramifications of a Shake Shack in the Phils. Before, the closest to a Shake Shack is Japan. so Foreigners/tourists in the region as well as Chinese, Singaporean, Hker, Malaysian etc., there is now an alternative or maybe even cheaper destination to get their Shake Shack fix.

Kaya kaysa magpa-doodle doodle, having 2nd thoughts etc. dyan, mag-checkin na kayo sa Shake Shack, go order something and enjoy, so that you're friends, associates, officemates from other countries na branch ng office nyo, titingalain kayo kasi ang lapit lapit lang ng shake shack sa inyo

what's 2 hours of lining up diba? hay naku, learn to live in the new world order, ganun na talaga. wala na tayo magagawa, or face extinction.

im gonna post my latest pictures of my BGC shake shack later, para mag-crave kayo ng husto. next week dun ulet ako kakain, i'll try the other burgers in the menu

Just dropped by In&Out and munched down a Double-Double. I am still not swayed. It is Five Guys for me.

The burger, of course. The peanuts come as appetizers.

When I tried In N Out I thought it was great, but when we got Shake Shack in LAX a few days after, it's clearly a level up IMHO. The patty is just juicier, more flavorful and has a little melt in your mouth quality to it.

Nothing spectacular, kami lang tao sa restaurant.

I was surprised when I ordered REGULAR fries, it was good for 4 people. I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger for lunch and I stayed full til the next day
