if you guys want to experience exotic filipino food, there is a restaurant in Angono Rizal along the national highway. it's called the "Balao-Balao Restaurant". before Angono and right after the Iglesia ni Kristo church there is a Y intersection on the road. take the left leg of the Y. after about 500 meters you should see the sign for the restaurant on the left side. they serve deer meat (they raise the deer and also other wild animals so you don't need to apologize to the conservationists), bayawak, sawa or python, baboy damo, etc.
just be careful while you're there because the place doubles as an art museum. the house policy is "break it you buy it". you will be dining with P250k paintings as your companions kaya ingat hehehe!
sabi ng ermats ko kumain daw ako ng butiki nung 1 yr old ako... yakkkkkkkyyyy!!!
snake when i was in arizona. pero syempre, fried sya... taste like chicken haha
When my Mom and I went to an exotic food restaurant she had me eat sawa! I was surprised that it turned out matinik. Iniisip ko kasi walang buto ahasMatinik na malansa pa. Then I had frog legs. It was tolerable and indeed taste like chicken.
I just noticed that this is the Nth thread resurrected by Sis CFY....
Dito sa Pilipinas,- Years ago, when we were vacationing in our friend's place in Manaoag, Pangasinan, we were given clubs one morning, while they burn down a sugarcane field. We were told to kill the rats that come out of the field. Later on, we were told that those will be our lunch... Can't do anything about it.....
In the US, in one of the exotic restaurants in ID, known for its hunting grounds, I was able to taste the likes of elk, and a meat they claimed as that of an anteater from South America... Most of the engineers I work with, in our facility there are hunters.
In China,- snake.
In Singapore, in one of the restaurants near Orchard Road,- crocodile meat, with one of our US engineers....
