a lucky me instant noodle preparation was banned in europe, but not banned in the usa.
it had all to do with the relative amounts of ethylene oxide, in the foods in question.
this type of news is old hat, circa july 2022.

the philippine FDA did issue a statement, back in july 2022.
in it, they mention that while some europeans practice zero tolerance to ethylene oxide,
singapore, canada, the etat unis and the philippines, accept "residual amounts".
