Ya we can see that. Pero we can easily distinguish those who go there for a reason (ie. coffee lover, relaxation) or un nga just to feel good for themselves (ie. social climbers).

Well, I'm no gourmet, but Nescafe 3-in-1 tastes pretty good. Lingzhi is better, but also more expensive. As for ambience, the "college dorm room" environment works pretty well with the caffeine (and quite appropriate too, lalo na pag malapit na mag exam).

Admittedly though, I'm no coffee lover, just a caffeine junkie.

(P.S. Amf, sa Lingzhi na nga lang namamahalan na ako paano pa kaya Starbucks)

yes it can but we do not give money to them, just sacks of rice from time to time. thats our policy, no money but only food. they have to learn to earn their own money. if money ibigay baka gastusin pa sa bisyo.

teka how can you compare a business DSL connection to a cup of P100+ coffee? luxury din ba ang business DSL connection? pwede ba remote monitoring ng branch cameras sa dialup connection?

NO! For me mandatory ang super-fast internet connection =) we're just blessed kaya ganun. Sorry for them cos di sila maghanap ng trabaho. They keep on whining, not look for a job and f*ck every night. Then bagsak na naman yan sa gov't and mga mayayaman.

For me, Starbucks produces some decent coffee.

Only their Frap drinks are overpriced (since most people and non-coffee aficionados go for this product line) and are loaded with tons of sugar. Their hot drinks (especially their coffee of the day) are priced decently enough and is just 10-20 pesos higher than MOST coffee shops here in the Metro. The blend also is very well made!

The Batangas (or Bataan) coffee that we have here does taste differently as compared from beans procured abroad. I can categorize them only as "mild" compared to a really strong blend like Sumatra.

3-in-1 coffee mixes? You've gotta be kidding if you are going to compare this with drip coffee or espresso (whether Starbucks, Figaro or what have you)... most of them taste like crap and is loaded with artificial flavoring & preservatives. To note, only the KDO 3-in-1 coffee tastes decent for me.
