    ung pinsan ko na nagwowork sa isang bar sa malate..masmalaki pa daw nakukuha nyang SC and tips from the customers compared sa sweldo nya..hehe

    and sa mga grocery stores..ung mga cart pushers na nag-aassist sa iyo hanggang sa kotse they can get as much as 500 to 800 pesos in a day..top that!

    service charge here seems to be more of a performance based incentive for the staff. as some people here have noted, mas malaki ang nakukuha sa sc than from their wages. pag maganda service, then people keep coming back and the staff get paid, if bulok sila, then people don't come back, and they're stuck with minimum wage.

    there is a law concerning division of service charge between staff and management, i don't remember exactly, but it's around 80/20 (20 to management).
