No.
Anything in the U.S. that has 5 or less calories can be labled as having zero calories...so Coke Zero could have as many as 5 but you could brun those off by taking a few steps.

SOURCEDiet soda is very bad for your body if you drink it in large amounts. You may have heard things like the chemicals used in it cause cancer. Well, the test was done on lab rats, and they were given such high doses of that chemicals that you would have to consume at least (probably more) than 10 cans a day for like, 10 years. But in moderation, I think it's alright.
Study: Diet Soda May Not Raise Risk of Diabetes After All
Previous studies have linked drinking diet soda with a higher risk of diabetes, among other health problems. But a large, long-term study bucks the trend, suggesting that diet sodas and other artificially sweetened drinks won't raise your chance of developing diabetes after all.
Though past studies have suggested that people who regularly drink diet soda may be at higher risk of developing diabetes than non-soda-drinkers, that association may have more to do with the type of person who drinks diet soda to begin with — not the diet soda itself. People who are overweight or already at risk for diabetes may be more likely than others to drink diet soda, the authors of the new study suggest.
The study, led by Dr. Frank Hu, professor of nutrition and epidemiology at Harvard School of Public Health, followed more than 40,000 men for 20 years, from 1986 to 2006. Participants were asked to fill out regular questionnaires about their medical conditions and dietary habits, including the amount of diet soda and other beverages they drank. About 7% of the men reported being diagnosed with diabetes during the course of the study. Men who drank the most sugary drinks — about one serving a day — were 16% more likely to be diagnosed with diabetes than men who stayed away from these drinks. The increase was associated mainly with carbonated sugary drinks, but not other sweet beverages like lemonade, the study found.
After the researchers controlled for other diabetes risk factors in the men, including weight, blood pressure and cholesterol, they found no association between diet soda and diabetes risk. Drinking coffee or tea regularly also did not increase risk of diabetes; in fact, men who drank regular or decaf coffee daily had a lower risk of the disease.

Do the Chemicals That Turn Soda Brown Also Cause Cancer?
Soda isn't just water, corn syrup and carbonation — a can of Coke or Pepsi also contains chemical additives for coloring and flavoring. And according to one public health group, those additives could increase your chance of getting cancer.
That's the message from the Center for Science in the Public Interest (CSPI), a Washington-based consumer watchdog group. CSPI has petitioned the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to ban the "caramel coloring" that is used in Coke, Pepsi and other sodas, on the grounds that the chemicals are carcinogenic.
CSPI says the artificial brown coloring — which doesn't have much to do with actual caramel, despite the name — is made by reacting corn sugar with ammonia and sulfites under high pressures and at high temperatures. (Just like Mom used to do it!) Those reactions produce the chemicals 2-methylimidazole and 4-methylimidazole — chemicals that government studies have found to cause lung, liver or thyroid cancer in lab rats or mice. "It's a small but significant risk, and it's the kind of thing that government agencies should deal with," says Michael Jacobson, the executive director of CSPI.

The different complications of diabetes such as renal failure, blindess, gangrene and heart disease should be incentive enough to avoid regular sodas. Or just go to a renal care/dialysis center and listen to the regrets of the patients.

Ako rin I seldom drink sodas. Most of the time, Iced tea lang. Mag-coke lang ako if the Iced tea is Lipton. Pangit lasa.

Zero lang nakalagay pero technically hindi talaga zero. May very little amount pa rin yan.

A bit OT pero you might be glad that you're avoiding a lot of sugar from the Regular Coke, pero do take note that puro artificial sweeteners naman ang nasa "Zero sugar" sodas. One of them, Aspartame, can cause side effects and even serious illnesses. So hinay hinay lang sa softdrinks mga sir.
