I would just like to share this really bad experience of mine at KFC
SM MANILA LEVEL 4. january 24th, 2009 around 7pm, I ordered for 2pcs
chicken meal , 1pc chicken value meal and a regular fries at KFC SM
MANILA LEVEL 4 ...
I asked for an extra plate where i can put gravy since we have 3 pcs of
chicken and i don't think an ounce of gravy for each meal would be
enough. The cashier told me that they don't give extra plate for
gravy.she said even the manager won't give me an extra plate. She
called the manager named VERGILIO who was not wearing his uniform and
doesn't even have a nameplate ( i just asked the dining crew who gave
me a plate about his name) and let him talk to me.
I told VERGILIO, the manager, that it would be an inconvenience for
me, as a customer to stand up, leave my food, and let those flies just
land and fly around my food while me, the poor customer, is getting
some gravy.
The manager was so sarcastic when he was trying to tell me that they no
longer rove and refill gravy for the customer and that I really have to
refill gravy myself. He even mentioned that the plate will be very
greasy and it would be unfair. I told him that I am dining at kfc a
lot and other stores are giving extra plate if a customer asked for it.
I felt very insulted by the way he treated me as a customer who
already paid for what I have ordered. He wasted my time listening to
his excuses.
I was thinking if he does that to all of the customers asking for an
ample assistance. What do you think?
We all know that as a manager, he should be the one thinking on how to
give a 100% satisfaction to a customer. It's his job to keep good
customers. But do you think, after what happened, i would go back and
eat at that same store again? Well I don't think so..I don't have any
plans of going back to that store again..ever..
I think VERGILIO needs to go back to training. It takes years to keep
customers but it only takes a manager like VERGILIO to lose one.
I'm a KFC fanatic and i really love their chicken and gravy but after
that incident, I think it would take time for me to love kfc again..I
have a lot of friends and acquaintances whom I can share this story.
I am sharing this story because I know for sure that I'm not the only
who had this experience with a manager like him. I want this to serve
as a lesson to managers who doesn't know HOW TO VALUE CUSTOMERS.
It is just because of a single plate.
(take note: i ordered a regularies fries..it should be placed in a
plate but the cashier simply placed it in a single tissue.)

January 25th, 2009 10:42 PM #2sakit na kasi yan ng mga pobreng pinoy. POWER TRIPPING.
Ako naman, i had a not so pleasant encounter sa Max's naman. We were told to wait for a table when i see lots of empty tables with no reservations etc written on a cardboard etc to explain why wouldn't they allow certaiin people to occupy.
naturally i was beside myself, pleasantly, the manager intervened but i vowed NEVER to dine at that Max's again.

Since when has KFC service actually been good? Eating at KFC is always a hit-or-miss affair.
There used to be one cashier at KFC Gateway who was so slow it would take her 5-10 minutes per customer... While other cashiers will have finished 5-6 customers, she'd be on her second... we were watching her... no matter how small the order, she moved like molasses.
And quality control is all over the place. At some KFCs, the gravy is thin as water, at others, the chicken (usually the best in the fast-food business) is as dry and tasteless as some Shakey's are (I seriously asked if somehow our Fried Chicken had been replaced by three-day old Inasal... ).
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...

were it not for their tasty chicken...hmmm.
few years ago, i bought to go a hotshots value meal at kfc power plant. while i was eating my chicken, i got hold of a small piece, the texture of which was different, so i checked it and found out that twas a roach...i immediately went back to power plant (i was at that time in school near it) and told the crew about it...he asked if i have the receipt, so i told him, customers don't usually take their receipts when they purchase your product...i'm just one of those. i sensed that i couldn't get anything from the crew, i asked if i could speak with the store manager. the crew just told me that managers don't usually intervene on problems like i just presented, especially so that i can't give him a receipt. i raised my voice a notch higher, telling him who could prevent me from talking to your manager, would you want my lawyer to deal with your roach infested establishment? (by the way, i brought along my classmate, para maging witness ko...product liability pag magkasakit ako...may cut siya pag nabayaran ako...wehehehe)
probably, finding me undaunted, he acceded and told me to wait..i couldn't wait longer than 15 mins as i have a class then so i again demanded, this time, apparently annoyed, i said if your manager won't see me now, i'd force myself to get in her office. then the crew lift the intercom and presto! the manager. i immediately told her that if she would continue to be oblivious with my complaint, i will let my lawyers deal with kfc...just think about the repercussions that it would have to your job. this is a clear case of your gross negligence . so i let her signed a paper recognizing such incident.
two days later, i was feverish. i called up the manager. they brought me to St. Lukes, escorted by power plant's security officer in its company vehicle. the tests said nothing alarming. but since then, i took it upon myself to have my routine blood check up every 6 months for a possible prolonged incubation period .
the long and short story of my experience taught me to be tenacious in my claim...after all, surviving in this crazy world is just a matter of bullying and barking. i bark to apprise the one concern so i will find biting unnecessary.
i banned myself from entering kfc for a year...were it not for that hot and crispy chicken...hhmmm...i should have made tha ban eternal. subsequent to that, marami pa rin...ang kupad nila, kahit yung drive thru service going to nlex (nlex ba yun?)...i told the crew how slow their service is...pero parang wala lang.
well...maganda pa naman sana yung corporate culture that they want to impart to the public. but the thing is, they don't walk the talk...
it's the roach giving flavor to their chicken...making me rationalize that it's just an isolated case.

Good thing nothing serious happened to you ab initio...that's the norm of fast food chains here, once they get a hold of our money they would not listen or give importance to any complaint that we ( the customers ) present them.
