I checked a lot of yogurt brands, all have sugar contents. Can these be taken by diabetics? Are there sugar-free yogurts? I only see low-fat ones.

Get the Dannon Light 'n Fit ones. They are only a 1/2 cup but also only 45 calories! Even a couple of them would be just fine. Most grocery stores now have a store brand version of the low-sugar/nonfat yogurts...they are often a good buy. Remember that you don't have to totally avoid sugar...there is sugar in almost everything, including milk and vegetables. The focus should be on learning how to count your carbs and stay within the limits set for each meal by your doctor. I'm assuming you're Type 2, if you're Type 1 just give yourself the corresponding amount of insulin based on the ratios your doc gave you.

It's not just the total amount of calories... it's the Glycemic Index of the food in question... Refined sugar gets digested a hell of a lot faster than rice.
There are some unsweetened yogurt products out there... yogurt products sweetened by natural sweeteners such as fructose are moderately okay, but unsweetened is best.
The ultimate, though... is BTIC... frozen yogurt... looks like ice cream, tastes like ice cream... is really yogurt... and it's available in sugar-free flavors, to boot.

Hindi po ako ang diabetic
It's for my mom.
If you say moderate, how many cups or servings per day? Hindi naman sya kumakain ng ibang matatamis.

That's something for your Mom's dietician to answer... because it depends on her allowed calorie intake and diet plan.
The amount of sweetened yogurt your mom can have per day will depend on the calorific value of the sweetener as well as its Glycemic Index. Refined sugar has the highest GI, while fruit-based sweeteners have a lower GI value.
If it's BTIC, however, she can have the No-Sugar-Added ones with little problem. Mhhhmmm... starting to crave for Pistachio BTIC...

Sorry boss boybi, kala ko ikaw eh.
Unsweetened na lang if she really likes yogurt lalo na kung medyo wala ng exercise like threadmill. One serving a day is not bad. Low fat is also recommended.
I’m no dietician ha but I get these info from my friend-nutritionist here at Weight Management Center - SLMC.
