wouie:daming vetsin/msg kaya masasarap eh, hehe. I've worked in a chinese restaurant before. Subukan nyong magluto ng the same dish with the same amount of ingredients at home and I bet di ito magiging kasingsarap ng luto sa chinese restaurant.

aside from the vetsin though, i think the high temperature cooking also contributes to the flavor. grabe ung mga furnaces nila, parang pam blacksmith

But honestly, sobrang layo mga resto dito compared sa HK, maybe because medyo fookien ang timpla dito kahit sinabi na HK style...
