Pa sosy because ipopost nila sa instagram or facebook that they had milk tea. Tapos with matching hashtags pa.
Basically, ginagawang status symbol ng mga tao because they are showing that they are spending 100+ for a glass of milk tea.

    Socmed gratification lang ang habol.

ewan ko ba sa mga yan. kung ako may fb pa, ang ipopost ko ay yun mga diy ko siguro; tipong "hey look nakatipid ako dahil ako lang nag restore/repair nito". or pic with family not the food. inaasar ko nga sister ko one time kasi sobrang tag hirap sila noon tapos nagpakuha ng pic sakin, pinasama yun mga food sa table. sabi ko taena naman gusto mo pa isama eh ang onti lang nya, wala pa lechon. nagtawanan kami kasi sobrang humbled kami after our dad left us.

no big deal, if one is not diabetic.

How much sugar does bubble tea contain? We ran a lab test - YouTube

    HELLOOO

kung ang concern mo ay sugar huwag ka mag order ng 100% sugar

    DUH

    may option naman 75%, 50%, 25%, 0 sugar

I would say madami lang talaga nasasarapan sa milk tea while the others naman nakikiuso lang. Sila yung mga nagpopost sa social media. [emoji1787]

funny thing about Pinoys... (coming from a Pinoy who is based overseas)

We love Starbucks, pero sa home and office 3 in 1
We love milk tea, pero ilan sa inyo ang naglalagay ng milk sa lipton?

Sa office namin, HR maintains 3 in 1 packets for the Pinoys sa IT

Personally, I find our love for instant (ice tea and coffee) weird...

Yung mga neighbors naman natin (look at Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore) brewed ang coffee and tea.

Ako. I put creamer sa tea. Lalo na mga free sa hotel rooms. Para ma refill na agad I've been doing it since I was in elementary whenever we travel abroad. [emoji23]

feeling ko ang sama kong boss... hehehe

Nung na promote ako as Manager years ago (before ako matransfer sa head office)

1st order of business... bumili ng coffee machine (500 lang bili ko)
Next, may staff akong taga Bantangas na required magdala ng coffee every week
Last, yung OJT ko ang bahala sa coffee

    ***
Minsan naiisp ko, what if magstart ako ng cheap coffee dyan sa Pinas (like the S$1 hawkers coffee ng Singapore and RMB3 ng Malaysia), kikita kaya? Titigil kaya mga tao mag 3 in 1 kung PhP40/cup lang ang coffee (yung Manila office kasi namin ngayon... puro 3 in 1 din)

Or better kung gawin kong 500/cup tapos invite ko mga influencer sa social media

    price is king, po.
also, brewing is kinda... labor-intensive, and requires special equipment.
    heh heh.

i personally prefer brewed coffee over instant, but only if someone were to hand it to me.
    otherwise, sa-shet rin ako.
