20M to spend? That depends on what that 20M means to you. If it's your life's savings, then you'll be thrifty. If it's disposable income, then you'll prolly get a ferrari.
IMO: Wag inggitero.
PS: Modena = 400hp.

bakit yung owner type jeep? hand assembled din naman yun a? :DOriginally Posted by mazdamazda
... calling Mr. Fierrari!!
kung kailangan mo ng lightweight body, use fiberglass,
... dali lang gawin yun. meron naman local resin supplier nyan, saka kaya din ng pinoy yung body. yung makina? well that's a different story.
yup dat's right. applicable sya to the high end ferraris like the f40, f50, and up.Originally Posted by Altis6453

What if the P20 Million Ferrari gets
sideswiped by a rusty old jeepney
or collide with a rickety-smokey
Toyota Tamaraw FX?
Kaya I'd rather buy a damn house
with all that money!
Impractical yes but definitely a beauty!!!!if i was rich..i really want a ferrari!!!but thats life...:?8)
those kinda people who buy ferraris has P200M home(s)... P20M is just a drop in the bucket for themOriginally Posted by TJMaxx
PS
sa topic name, maserati pala... with a single L...
another typo... the 360 modena has a 395hp engine...
Mahal sya kasi hand made. You pay for the labor hours and the R&D cost of developing a car like that. Also, basic supply and demand... the demand is high but the supply will always be low, so that'll drive price higher...
Lastly, if whoever's buying those exotics can afford the car, do you think they'll care about fuel, parts, insurance? chicken feet nalang yun...
14M isn't even a fully tax paid Ferrari FYI. A fully tax paid Modena would go for 25M. Maintenance costs? $1K for the 1st checkup, $2K for the second and $10K for the third
Yes, it is dangerous specially with so many stupid drivers around, and that's why they only bring them out on SundaysAnd they're not careful with their cars mind you :D
i think wala naman basta basta mag nanakaw kung ferari ride mo, at kung manakaw man madali mo mati-trace kasi ilan lang may ari nito .lalo na dito sa pinas . the problem is kung mayaman din yong magnanakaw at ipadala sa ibang bansa![]()
IMO, no car is worth PhP 20 million but if there's one it might be Ferrari. Their company consistently makes arguably the best performance cars, and their pedigree is truly race (F1) bred.
Because they are rare and they have a clientele that will pay pretty much whatever they demand, hanggang panaginip lang tayo....![]()
I know someone with a 360 Modena. He's nearing his timing belt change which will cost him anywhere between 250,00-300,000 since its an engine out job. It also has the TUBI Style exhaust, beautiful sound while I was following him along the Ayala underpass. Parang F1 talaga. Kapag malamig pa yung engine may blue flame from the exhaust tips since medyo may tira-tira pang langis, kakaaliw.
A Ferrari is a Ferrari, and if I had that much money to buy and maintain one, I would in a heartbeat. But you can't compare a house to a Ferrari. :D
But if I had to buy a sportscar and not worry about durability and maintenance costs at all, it would be a Porsche, especially since servicing nowadays is not as expensive as before, let alone to a Ferrari. In fact a Porsche's servicing requirements cost is comparable to a BMW / M-Benz. Medyo madami narin nagkalat na mga Porsche specialists in Manila so it won't be a problem servicing it.
Last, take note that people who own Ferraris own a lot of other sports / luxury cars and also own more than one P200 Million house. ;)
Pero masarap parin talga ung mayaman na myaman!!lalo na kung car enthusiast ka lalo na kung magkakaroon k ng chance to own a Ferrari ENZO!!!d ba??:D:D
Hamann,
Yup. We met before in the 1st Philippine Autosport Council Track Day in BRC. I was with JV and co.
If one could really afford a Ferrari and live in a
P200 Million house here in the Philippines, I
bet he would be the most insecure person walking
around in this country. He's definitely a prime target
of kidnap and extortion groups unless he's the crime
syndicate boss himself, which is most likely.
Hardworking rich guys always make it a point to be
low profile...
nagugulat kayo sa ferrari eh sa yellow pages may dealer pala dito ng bentley. i already saw a bentley arnage sa ortigas. those babies cost twice as much as a ferrari.
is it true that vic sotto and joey de leon each own diablos? sa kotse.com ko pa ata nabasa yun eh.
lupet no'.
TJMaxx,
That's a hasty generalization and medyo unfair naman. And madaming taong low profile pero merong mga sportscars i.e. Porsche / Ferrari etc and multi-million Peso homes.
I know some people whom you have described, minus them being crime bosses and being insecure. Mabait naman sila eh. Granted their spending power is far greater than what most of us have, they value material things differently from us and what is expensive for us is normal for them, pero its unfair to defame these people. Madami naman nagsumikap the hard way over years and years of toil. If I had the disposable income to buy a Ferrari and a 200M Peso home then I would. Wala naman illegal o immoral dun diba?
Granted madami din mayabang, I've met many of them narin. Pero its unfair naman to categorize them all as insecure et al.
Peace! ;)
