Gone are the days when the top shows on local TV were US sitcoms and soap operas... Kaya mga aged 30s and older magaling mag English. Bihira ka na makakita ng English sa free TV.

and what happens is pag malaki ang population di maka intindi ng english you gotta communicate with them in the language they can understand

so ung content ng channels mo puro tagalog

ung medium of instruction mo tagalog

    lahat tagalog

    it's a negative feedback loop

    lalo di matututo mag english

    ...rocket scientist?
walang masyado alam yan. up and down lang alam nila.
it's actually more difficult to design a reciprocating fossil fuel engine. rockets have been in existence since over 700 years ago.
    heh heh.

What bothers me is that despite more Filipinos now earning better (i.e. rising middle class), inuuna pa yung pagbili ng SUV na di naman kailangan kaysa maginvest sa education ng mga anak nila.

I'm curious to understand why other people aren't as keen in investing on their children's education with utmost priority. Given na nga na bulok ang education system ng Pilipinas, pero may options naman na maganda kung pagiipunan mo.

Interestingly, the businessmen I know who have the biggest safety nets for their children because pwede ipamana ang negosyo are also the ones who still ensure their children go to good schools.

Yung mga walang negosyo pa yung napapansin kong kung saan-saan lang inienroll anak nila pero makikita mo magpopost sa Facebook ng shopping ng kung anu-ano at travel kung saan-saan.
