Oh pull ups! My trainer at the gym told me only super fit ppl can do pull ups. I can't really lift my body haha
BTT a fond childhood memory of mine was my dad and I sneaking into the kitchen late at night to eat chocolates hidden in the ref. Haha. Back in the 80s imported chocolates were quite expensive.

One thing about schools in the Greater Manila area, they had a lot of street vendors outside. I spent my daily allowance on fish balls.

the white two door is an early 70s ford escort (mexico to some).
the lower picture is a 79-80s ford laser, aka mazda 323.

^ true. It's a veritable tiangge outside the schoolgates back then.
My sister even used to buy ducklings and chicks from mobile pet shops outside of her school. Sadly, i don't recall any of those she took home reach adulthood

I was reading the passport thread and how hard it is to get a passport now. I renewed mine last week and it took me 2 months to get a schedule. The whole process was 2 hours (which is better than the last time where it took me the whole day)
I miss those days when you just give to the travel agent your old passport and ID picture - no need to go to DFA. The passports are handwritten too! I gave my Mom my most recent passport and since she keeps all our passports, I browsed through it and here's my first passport! Sa brother ko mas maganda hand writing. It makes me wonder where these people are who write these passports

doc, kaya nga I miss the 80s and 90s when it was just manual in DFA kasi you just need to give your photo ID sa travel agent and wait - then you get your passport (non appearance) I think up until the early 2000s manual.
I miss our old house. The neighbors na ngayon wala na din most of them.
We turned our old house into an apartment and visit my ninang once in a while.
