My officemate also says "bet mo" Sometimes it's hard for us to converse because I don't understand a lot of her terms and I have to ask her what she means.

Medyo nawawala professionalism pag slang mga salita sa workplace.

I wonder what your officemates like talking about lol. I like talking with people but when they start spewing out these kind of words, my head hurts. Quite a turn off when a new girl joins the company then starts talking like that. All prejudice of her charmingly good looks have been thrown out the window

i would have liked to throw their bodies out the window, as well.
maybe we should conduct the interviews using straight english, and deduct a point every time interviewee uses an in-appropriate word or phrase.
    heh heh.

Haha, that's the thing doc. We also should be trying to talk to the applicant casually to try and feel what kind of jargon they usually use in their daily lingo, not just formal talk. Might have to swap interviewers then to the more personable ones heheh

"bet mo" sounds nicer than "pustahan tayo". but just a bit...

I have only 1 girl friend in the office. I rarely talk with the rest but this one officemate who also likes to use "friend", "bet mo", "gurl", "gorabels" etc is okay when I talk to her. We just can't have a long conversation without me having to ask some of the terms that she uses. It also makes me cringe when she calls her long time BF "jowa".
