    not really.
they'll let you teach, if they feel you have something to offer.

There are universities who are more liberal in recruiting educators. Even without education units or MA, they allow you to teach as long as you have competencies and expertise in a particular field that their faculty don't have.

How about jufiter? Or gaylord?😊 Funny the first, yes...but you actually learn to live with it. Besides, it is unfair to make fun of someone who cannot be faulted for the name they were given.

^ i assume we're talking about teaching in college?

Baka oversupply po mam. Do take into consideration the K-12 program...yung freshman intake nila basically drops to zero. Baka 2019-2020 pa magnormalize ang freshman population niyan

Yes in College. This was after I finished my MBA in 2009. Requirement was 6 units (I think) of educ to teach in college. And he said I should start in CSB daw muna (which I don't like because no offense to CSB grads but I have friends who used to go to school either drunk or high in CSB )

But CSB pays the highest if not amongst the highest Cath. That's what a lot of friends told me.

And from an educator's point of view, (if we follow your assumption), you put the brightest minds to the students who need it the most.

One thing to consider though, teaching, especially in this country, is a vocation. If you're not really into the academe, you'll barely survive. Especially if you're lifestyle can't cope with that.

I receive my side job salary from the university via ATM. And I don't touch that nor rely on that for survival. It's just there. Because you'll be frustrated if you check it every payday. But then, since I don't touch it, when I check the balance, I'll be surprise may pera pala ako dun. Parang alkansya ko lang. Pag may emergency or need bumili pang reward sa sarili

This year I'll buy an adventure motorcycle coming from the savings from years of teaching

OT na tayo. Maybe you should start a thread for this topic Cath

Plus maraming intrinsic benefits ang pagtuturo. Nakakatuwa pag nakikita mo na natututo mga Students mo from your teachings. Para kang second parent nila. You need to give them proper guidance and support. Pero parating may pasaway na student. Always. Live with that.

my generation is fraught with part- and full-dentures, caps, and whatnot.
we narrowly missed out on the gold trim.
but my children's teeth are very good. and they're not even doing much about it! they are even champions of the ten-second toothbrush technique. must be the flouride (in nawasa water?).

Although yes, people should ideally be headed to the pinnacle of their careers at that age, everyone has their own stories and reasons. I don't mind that so long as they are working hard and honestly.

Nothing wrong with that, basta mahalaga di ka hirap sa buhay. Can't blame some with that. Yung iba kasi HS grad lang kaya hanggang dyan lang din sila minsan

Guys na mahina kumain or maarte sa pagkain. Real men EAT! And they eat meat. Steaks and ribs and pork chops. Hehehe.

Applies even to women. Equally Ka bwiset pag maarte sa pagkain. My Dad says that shows lack of sophistication...
