This has just been passed thru IP message.

True or not? Another panunumbat ba? or the son’s really that terrible since childhood.

c",)My mom only had one eye. I hated her... She was such an embarrassment..
c",)She cooked for students & teachers to support the family.
    c",)
c",)There was this one day during elementary school where my mom came to
    c",)Say hello to me.
    c",)
    c",)I was so embarrassed.
    c",)
c",)How could she do this to me?
c",)I ignored her, threw her a hateful look and ran out.
c",)The next day at school one of my classmates said, "EEEE, your mom only
    c",)Has one eye!"
    c",)
    c",)I wanted to bury myself.
c",)I also wanted my mom to just disappear..
c",)I confronted her that day and said, " If you're only gonna make me a
c",)Laughing stock, why don't you just die?"
    c",)
    c",)My mom did not respond....
c",)I didn't even stop to think for a second about what I had said, because
    c",)I was full of anger.
c",)I was oblivious to her feelings.
    c",)
c",)I wanted out of that house, and have nothing to do with her.
c",)So I studied real hard, got a chance to go abroad to study.
    c",)Then, I got married.
c",)I bought a house of my own.
c",)I had kids of my own.
c",)I was happy with my life, my kids and the comforts, Then one day, my
    c",)Mother came to visit me.
c",)She hadn't seen me in years and she didn't even meet her
    c",)Grandchildren.
    c",)
c",)When she stood by the door, my children laughed at her, and I yelled at
    c",)Her for coming over uninvited.
c",)I screamed at her, "How dare you come to my house and scare my Children!"
    c",)GET OUT OF HERE! NOW!!!"
    c",)
c",)And to this, my mother quietly answered, "Oh, I'm so sorry. I may have
    c",)Gotten the wrong address,"
c",)And she disappeared out of sight.
c",)One day, a letter regarding a school reunion came to my house.
    c",)
c",)So I lied to my wife that I was going on a business trip.
c",)After the reunion, I went to the old shack just out of curiosity.
    c",)
    c",)
c",)My neighbors said that she died.
c",)I did not shed a single tear.
c",)They handed me a letter that she had wanted me to have.
    c",)
    c",)"My dearest son,
c",)I think of you all the time. I'm sorry that I came to your house and
    c",)Scared your children.
c",)I was so glad when I heard you were coming for the reunion.
c",)But I may not be able to even get out of bed to see you.
c",)I'm sorry that I was a constant embarrassment to you when you were
    c",)Growing up.
    c",)
c",)You see........when you were very little, you got into an accident, and
    c",)Lost your eye.
    c",)As a mother, I couldn't stand watching you
c",)Having to grow up with one eye.
    c",)So I gave you mine.
c",)I was so proud of my son who was seeing a whole new world for me, in my
    c",)Place, with that eye.
    c",)
c",)With all my love to you,
    c",)Your mother.

I typically avoid these kind of stories, coz tutulo na naman luha ko. Knowing how our parents sacrificed for us when we were growing up.

Sumikip dibdib ko dito. Walang hiya naman yung lalakeng yun!

Ako I'm proud of my Mom . When hard times fell on us, she made ends meet by making homemade pulburon, peanut butter and crochet mats. She took up after my Dad was hospitalized and since we had to sell everything, the car, house and some things, we had to transfer into a house no bigger than our former garage and into a neighborhood that sent chills down our spine since we came from a subdivision.

She labored during the day and she would return to the hospital at night with my dad where she would only get 4 hours of sleep everynight since she had to stay awake whenever my dad was in pain.

She was so thin because she would sacrifice her eating for us siblings to have a good meal, because we could only have 2 fish and ketchup every meal because we had to save for us to continue going to school.

Through all that, I never saw my Mom frown or complain. Her constant smiles were our assurance that everything was going to be alright. She never left us during those tough times...all because she loved us.

    Here's to you Mom!

Nice touching story, unfortunately, it can't be true.

AFAIK, there's no such thing as a complete eye transplant. They only do that with corneas (I think). Also, a grown-up person's eye cannot possibly fit in the eye socket of a small child.

Sorry, I don't mean to be a killjoy.

Are you sure about that? I read somewhere that human eyeballs do not get bigger since birth. That's why babies looks so cute, almost anime-ish. Look at a baby's eye/face, the dark part of the eye is so much larger in proportion vs. an adult's.

Yeah, Galactus is right...this has to be a corneal transplant. The story is still plausible as the mother(corneal donor) would be left blind by the procedure. But let us not concentrate on the the details but more on the message...really touching! It hits you in the gut doesn't it? Okasa...gomen nasai!

have you guys ever wondered kung gaano tayo kasakit sa ulo and sa dibdib nun high school and college tayo?? how many sleepless nights ang binigay natin sa kanila while we were having fun...?? kids will always be selfish while parents will always be selfless...

and imagine more, how much our Father in heaven loves us... despite what we do, He gave us His only son and everything what we pray.

sows...OA nga. people make up sh** like this because there are always other people gullible enough to believe it.

but i think the point of the story is not whether it's true or not, but the message behind it.
