and then call her name, kapag harap nya sa'yo..

this will be super-expensive, but the best proposal in my recent memory was for an employee of mine. she was supposed to meet her BF for "dinner" one friday. little did she know was that he had rented a yacht, crew and chef at enormous expense, bought a ring, and 'kidnapped' her to the Florida Keys. he proposed on the boat on the way over, at a table set for two with the sun setting over the Atlantic.

btw, he also packed a bag of her stuff, called me to ask for a week's time off for her (and to make sure i wouldn't make her work late on friday, hehe), so nag impromptu vacation din sila.

when i asked her how it went, sabi niya hindi lang immediate "yes", automatic laglag panty pa :bwahaha:

Personally, if you have the resources to pull off a big production like the yacht scenario (or even a weekend trip to Boracay), why not?

Me, I'm a very torpe person, so my proposal was a very simple and very un-movielike one, at the foot of the stairs, kneeling on hard concrete, without a ring. I'd actually given her a ring before (a simple one) but never had the guts to follow through with the question... for seven years.

Finally, I got tired of waiting for the perfect moment, so I just did it. No regrets.

How about a sunrise serenade outside her window on her birthday? Followed by an abduction and retreat to Boracay? (all cleared with her family and work, of course...)

I proposed to my wife through a song that I sang myself where I changed the lyrics just a bit. Worked like a charm.
