Balik sa engagement ring... gano kalaki ba ang mga .15 or .20 carat? I'm on a tight budget but I'd like to get a gem with high clarity and good color kahit maliit ang carat, sayang naman kung bibili ng malaki tapos low quality naman...

The range of a good commercial quality ring of +-0.15 carat should be just around 2+,000 for something like +-0.25 carat last I checked it was 4+,000.

Prices increase exponentially in relation to the carat assuming all other factors are the same because these things get fewer the higher they are up the carat scale.

If there's one advice I can give is buy from a reputable source, also buy one set on six prongs instead of four, it makes the rock look larger. Goodluck mate!

nag window shopping ako around ongpin. ang nakita ko na 0.10 karat, 12,500 to 15,000. meron 0.13 karat around 18,000 na.

so nag hanap hanap pa ako. meron ako nakita princess cut na 0.13 karat around 19,000 na.

then may nakita ako 2 rings, same size. round lang sya, 0.33 karat, selling at 29,000. the other ring, same type and size, slightly yellowish when compared to the other, 19,000. The store selling me this was "Cristalle Jewellex" at ongpin st.

the slightly yellowish caught my eye (and my budget!). i asked a girl-friend to come with me to shop around and she told me na mas matutuwa ang babae kapag mas malaki. color doesnt really matter lalo't na when it doesn't have another ring to be compared with. hindi daw mapapansin yan.

sa tingin nyo? tama lang ba ung price sa karat nya? (aroung 19,000 for a yellowish 0.33 karat)??

laki ng budget mo sir. drop by ka lang sa chinatown or ongpin, dami maganda at mura dun. isusuot mo lang naman yun in a short period of time. yung wedding ring na lang ibudget mo, lifetime mo iyong isusuot..

if you have friends in Bulacan area, ask them to accompany you sa mga jewelry stores dun, ung isa kong friend may pinagaya atang style ng dbeers ba un(ung sikat sa US), mas nakamura by mga 3-4K ata
