Been smoking for the past 25 years stop only last may cold turkey. Been trying to stop for years na but yung first two weeks ang hardest. Lagi bumabalik after ilang days. Last May nag vacation kami ng family out of the country for three weeks sinabay ko na rin yung pag quit ko. And this is my longest na hindi nag yosi and no plans of going back to smoking.

The urge stopped around the 2nd year, hardest is the first 3 days to a week, but i didnt have any withdrawals coz i have grieving at the time, lost my father due to lung cancer, i talked to the people at nurse station at st lukes, 80-90% of their cancer patients are of the lungs. That totally made me quit.

My dad died early this year and the last advice he gave me was to quit. I didn't really followed it... until a few months later when I had a heart attack. This made me quit immediately.

i know of acquaintances.. who quit cold turkey because someone close to them had a brush with death that was associated with un-healthy living habits... the so-called "scare of their lives".

hypertension. Already had two symptoms of high blood pressure after the holidays; jan4th and feb 14th. I listened to an isochronic tone and within 15-30", bumaba ang bp ko. I am not taking any maintenance as of now. Try mo na pag may symptoms ka ng hypertension; listen to this tone. download from youtube via torch browser: isochronic tone hypertension. syempre, have your maintenance ready just in case. The tone will 'force' your pineal gland to stabilize your body functions, lowering bp. (about a dozen people had succumb to cardiac arrest after the holidays).

Mod, sorry, mali pala ang thread dito. pls feel free to transfer it to the health section. Ty.

You know why you think its dangerous? From people who knows someone that knows someone that died from quiting cold turkey, the truth is some people quit becoz they are feeling or sensing something aint right so they quit immediately, after a few months, boom cancer....example my dad.... Before his diagnosis he was feeling tired and always out of breath, quit cold turkey sensing something is wrong with him.

My last stick i guess was in 1996. On average about 6 sticks on a normal day but can puff 2 packs while drinking.
Ang maganda sa akin pag may hangover, at least 3 days yan na walang yosi and really hate a cigarrete smoke. Kaya nung minsan na napasobra ang aking HO, after yung usual na 3 days na walang yosi biglang nawala na yung aking urge to smoke and haven't look back thereafter.
Not only smoking does contribute in the narrowing of the arteries... one of my kumpare had undergone the knife due to triple bypass operation and he's not a smoker but heavy on red meat diet.

Almost 2 months nako smoke free, quit cold turkey. woo! No strong craving kahit na busog or umiinom. Thousands of php saved, possibly millions dahil sa benefits ng pag tigil. Parang on/off switch lang, naumay na siguro talaga ako sa yosi.

Sa mga nagquit - cold turkey - congrats. One of the hardest things to do. I was smoking 2 packs a day for several years. When i went to ksa, nabawasan ng husto dahil takot akong magkasakit. Continued smoking with 10 sticks/day until i felt fingers playing with my heart when i smoked. Next day, threw away the cigarettes and never smoked again. That was more than 10 years ago.

Ngayon, balik tayo sa 'how to fight addiction'. We can either use brain entrainment or CES or both. Lahat pala ng thread ko: ay iisa ang subject matter, using same freq.

Congratulations, sir. Mahirap gawin yon. Could not quit before dahil pabalikbalik until i felt the fingers playing with my heart.

Btw, I researched on utube about the book of allen carr's 'easyway to stop smoking'. The book is 150usd. Mr. Carr has made millions with his book, judging from the high profile personalities that used his method. Medyo convinced ako 80-90%. May nakagamit na ba nito na ts? Pls share your experience. It is also stated in his website that he can 'cure' other addiction, too. For smoking, parang ayos 'to, for other addictions, this remain to be seen on utube.

i saw my dad died of lung cancer, i saw him na naghirap, that made me stop, now i also stopped drinking alcohol, last ko was jan 1 of this year..., from that discipline could also stop eating carbs, sugar etc, did that for a year, i could also do water fast for days as form of detox....now i understand why people dont have no appetite when they are sick, its a way for the body to heal itself, digestion uses energy and pollutes the body, what the body in the absence of food does is it will cosume the bacteria and dead cells that is harming it, its called autophagy, while giving your organs like kidneys, liver, pancreas etc...time to rest and heal...
