Last I remember going to the Philippines, I tipped at least 10% of the bill to whoever would serve me or my entourage. That is common practice from where I am but later I found that it is not usual there. I do not view it as show off but rather showing gratitude and reward to hardworking kababayans.

yun ang hindi maintindihan nung ibang pinoy.. $$ nga ang kita.. pero $$ din naman ang gastos.. insurance at tax pa lang ang laki na sa US..

yung friend namin nasa texas.. isang taon nila pinag iipunan para mapuno yung balikbayan box na papadala sa mga kamag anak dito sa pinas.. sabi ko nga bakit kailangan may ganon pa.. eh yun daw ang expected.. kailangan may pasalubong etc etc.. so monthly bibili sila nang ilang items para ilagay don. hanggang mapuno..

siguro kasalanan na din nung ibang nasa US kasi pinapayagan nila ganon.. hindi naman dapat..

may kakatuwa pang kwento yung uncle ko.. yung aunt ko daw a few years ago tumama sa lotto.. mga $4000 lang naman daw.. nung mabalitaan sa pinas.. kala mo milyon na yung tinamaan sa dami nang humihingi.. tapos ilang taon na nakalipas.. may nahingi pa din nang balato.. hehehe

Dumating na yung balikbayan namin kaninang madaling araw. Laking gulat namin na nasa bahay na sila (kamag-anak from province) pagkagaling namin sa airport, kanila pala yung Adventure Grand Sport na nakaparada sa harap ng bahay.

akala ko dito samin lang nangyayari yan.
naiinis ako dito samin kasi avenue yung sinasarado ng mga gunggong na iskwater. bubulaga nalang sayo yung bangko o signage na "detour". ang hassle mag maniobra gawa ng may naka buntot din sayo.
tm na ata yung pag seaman o kapitan may "timon" ng barko na painting o figure sa gate.
