My kid is going on G11 but her current school does not offer G11 so I will be transferring her to a new one.

On my list are: Diliman Prepatory School, and St. James along Mindanao Ave.

Can you please recommend any other school Fairview, Novaliches, Mindanao Ave area?

    Thank you.

MC. Or perhaps SHS or UPIS at the very least.

I put a very, very high premium on education and personally won't settle for low-tier schools even if I had to handle 2 jobs to make ends meet.

st james mindanao avenue may story yan na di maganda. di ba yan yung school nung tatay ng head ng land grabbing syndicate na pilit inaagaw yung mga lupa sa sanville and lots along visayas avenue including the one where wilcon city center is now. during that time it was found out na wala pala license sa deped yung st james. so pinasara yan ng deped at pinayagan na lang patapusin yung mga elem to g6 and yung mga high school sa 4th year. after that nagsara yan ng matagal. are they open again, sure na ba na may license na sila??? better verify muna baka mamya pag dating sa college application ng kid mo di pala sila registered sayang naman.

Upis does not accept G11 transferee. So... sucks to be me. Will be asking MC tom, hope it is open, but imma in government so I cannot hold down two jobs.

    SHS? Sorry, what is that?

    School of the Holy Spirit.

My girlfriend came from there, I'd say they were able to train her well enough to pass PSHS for high school, UP for college, and SLCM for med. One of my best friends also came from SHS, also passed PSHS, graduated cum laude in Ateneo, and is now working as an expat for a bank.

I'd say a tier lower than MC/AC/Poveda/St. Paul but still better than other private schools in QC.

    MC/Poveda/AC is around 120k a year. St Paul around 100k a year. SHS around 80k a year.

I can definitely afford 80k-90k a year. Will ask SHS.

How about St scho? Ob Montessori in Fairview?

On hindsight, 100k max would be my limit. Since... I going solo with this

St Scho in Marikina? Isn't that quite far from your area? Their Manila campus is even farther. And from my experience, SHS > St. Scho.

Another good school in QC is STC (St. Therese's College) in the Banawe area. Might be too far for you though.

Personally a quick indicator of how good a GS/HS is how many of their graduates get into the top colleges in the country. From my experience I haven't encountered anyone from OB Montessori in Fairview whether in UP or Ateneo.

    MC is okay.

I was about to mention STC in the Banawe area as well. Seems accessible enough from your area based on your choices.

My parents would strongly disagree. They didn't even want us to go coed for college

it's really one's choice, depending on where one is more comfortable with.

Maria montessori along visayas ave has a 100% passing at UP diliman for several years now. That is where i have my 4 kids, although my eldest will try to transfer to ateneo for senior high since she wants to get into ateneo instead of UP. Tuition is 90k per year.
