Additive package, mineral base oil refining processes, and tests determines if it is a 2 or a 3.
Mejo magulo lang because sa US, group 3 can be marketed as synthetic/fully synthetic/etc.
tama si nivraarvin. yung group4/5 oils, yun yung mga true sythetics. 100% synthetic yang mga yan. ang alam ko Royal Purple is group4. hindi ko lang sure alin pa yung group4/5 oils.
yung group3, mineral + synthetic oil. kahit 5% synthetic lang alam ko pwede na sa group3 oil. better check, not sure if ganun ba.
Currently, we use royal purple on all of our vehicles. I plan on trying something else in the future though for our diesel-engined vehicles on their next oil changes.
