January 27th, 2012 12:32 AM #1Mga sir baka po may makatulong sa akin, I owned a 98 model gls diesel adventure, ok naman po ang takbo, no hard start sa umaga or when engine is cold, wala po'ng white/black smoke sa exhaust pipe upon idle and reving at 3k rpm. problem is:
Some white smoke and oil spurting out at oil filler when the cap is off, same when pulling off dip stick at cold engine and hot engine, i smelled the oil spurting out wala naman po amoy na sunog.. no overheating experienced.
blow by na po kaya if yes ano po urgent solution? is it due for overhauling / top overhauling?
thank you po sa magrereply

is your engine oil at the correct amount? do you regulary change your oil filter and engine oil?

a few questions first
is the engine oil at the correct level?
is the oil filter regularly replaced?
are there white smoke at exhaust?
does the radiator or reservoir water level decreases?
is there milky color in the oil?
majority of the reasons why oil will get up to the dipstick is because there is a high pressure in the crankcase system generally caused by:
1. worn piston rings or piston itself is worn. Therefore compression gas will escape to the crankcase and makes it way to the dipstick.
2. the PCV valve is blocked partially or fully. if its blocked the gasses wont escape, it will find another way out eventually to the dipstick
3. your exhaust system is blocked. if the exhaust side is blocked either through the muffler/resonator/ or the exhaust pipe, pressure will build up.
i suggest you check your PCV valve first, then proceed to check your oil, check if there is water consumption by the engine, and lastly perform a compression test to see if you have a bad piston/piston rings....

May sign na po sir ng overhauling, it's up to you kung gusto mo na ipa overhaul, although nasabi mo na hindi pa nagbabawas ng langis, pwede mo pa magamit, but be sure na imonitor yung oil level

January 27th, 2012 04:03 PM #5answering sir miko's questions:
No white smoke nor black smoke sa tailpipe
oil level is on its normal amount (di naman po nagbabawas) no foul burnt smell
Filter change every PMS say every 5k kms po
not hard starting pa naman po
no milky residue seen naman
reservoir/radiator level did not change and at its full level, no overheating experienced
