Personally, for new cars I drive slow with light load... (RPM is never over 3K). After the 1K check, I'm confident to load the car, but still driving carefully until 5K
I drive the usual way after...
Wala naman mawawala, some will have their own way of breaking in a new car/rebuilt engine...
Way back mid-80's... We drove carefully with minimal load without A/C!

January 12th, 2018 06:08 PM #18Car manuals these days usually have a section on how to handle the vehicle for the first thousand kilometers or so. Just follow the instructions and you should be fine.
