sayang lang. You get 0 km/l for 5 minutes. The guideline for cars now is I think go easy on the engine for 5-10 minutes until you get normal temperature. No revving on startup like some people do. di pa nga nakakacirculate yung langis, stressed kaagad.

This depends on your vehicle, usually it is stated in your manual.

For our Accord, it is stated that there is no need to warm up the engine, the car may be driven within a minute of starting.

According to the manual warming up the engine only wastes gasoline.

And also consider our climate, optimal driving temp is reached pretty quickly.

I don't warm up my engine. No need to warm up the engine, since your using multi viscosity motor oil. Its actually more advisable not to warm up the engine since we live in a tropical country, now if we live in a cold country that would require warming up.

According to the honda civic's manual, wait 30 seconds after starting up the engine to let the oil circulate then u can drive at low rev.

One more thing, Don't rev your engine too hard until you reach normal operating temps, just to make sure all the motor oil has circulated inside your engine.

Tama yan, just drive it lang then turn on aircon when it reaches normal temperature.

Ako mga 10 to 30 seconds after start, larga na. Binubuksan ko din ang aircon para mag init agad ang makina. Pero very low revs lang, max=2500 rpm until mag normal ang temp.

ako din di ko in-o-on yung aircon kaagad kasi "nahihirapan" yung engine..pero i think sa mga newer cars today..ok lang i-on ang aircon even if the engine's still cold.

I think sa weather ng Pilipinas, hindi mo na siguro kailangan i-warm up that long. Maybe a minute or two! But from where I am right now with freezing temperatures, I even have to warm-up to at least 10 minutes...

Yeah, yeah, yeah! People always say na hindi na kailangan i-warm up ang mga sasakyan with the advanced current engine design. But I still find my SUV performing better when being warmed-up a little bit. Personal preference na lang din yun! He he he!!

Sa weather ng Pilipinas, you don't have to warm up. You just have to let the oil circulate a bit first then gently drive off.

And huwag na magtiis sa init. May idle-up compensator na ang modern engines which senses that you are using the a/c and adjusts itself accordingly.
