It can be used for differentials and trannys.

We have 2 diesel-fed engines here, and usually sa umaga pag bagong andar ang makina hirap ipasok sa 2nd gear. Do you think it is safe to put 140 grade para mas malapot at baka sakaling mas madali na ipasok ang kambyo?

Another question is from the 4WD aspect. Ganun din ang circumstance early morning drives may naririnig akong sound coming from the front solid diffs.

Someone told me before that putting in thicker gear oil would indeed make gearing in a bit tougher. But pag laspag na ang tranny mas oks daw thicker oil. Sabi lang sakin...

kimpOy::: Yun nga rin kasi pagkakaalam ko 90 grade common on all vehicles, but a friend pointed out that 140 grade gear oil could help with the noise I'm hearing over my front diffs.

pajerokid::: How would you grade yung laspag stage ng tranny? After the kilometers it ran?

Well, there's only one thing to find out, and hope it will work. Replace the front diffs and tranny with 140 grade oil. While the transfer case and rear diffs will remain 90.

May makukunan po ba kayo ng parts dyan incase I decide to change it at the same time?

i recommend you use Castrol Hypoy LS gear oil sa rear diff mo, it is designed for limited slip diffs, don't know lang the viscosity. baka effect na yan nag water fording ang noise in your diffs, we usually repack bearings and change gear oils once a month if we fcross rivers because of the roads we pass by going to the quarry.

btw have you extended your diff breathers?

ARB::: My ride is not equipped with rear LSD.

Diff breathers infront are normally extended up to the engine compartment for Patrol models. While the rear are placed in one of the cross members. Hindi ko na pinalitan ito, may extra line pa naman for the suspension strokes.
