April 12th, 2013 12:18 PM #1Sir ano ba ang mga parts to check kung sa unang click ay umiistart ang engine then after 1 to 2 mins unti unting bumababa ang rpm at tuluyan ng namamatay tapos pag inistart uli ay puro crank na lang at ayaw na tumuloy?
Could it be the high tension wires? Paki-advise naman po mga gurus kung may nakaexperience na sa inyo ng ganito at ano ang naging solution?
Ride is 92 honda hatchback. TY

April 12th, 2013 01:54 PM #4Sir, saan po banda nakalagay ang fuel filter ng honda hatchback? Chineck ko po ang engine pero wala akong makitang fuel filter, unlike sa nissan or toyota na makikita mo agad ang fuel filter pag binuksan ang hood.
Ano po ba ang kadalasang inaayos kung exhaust system ang problema? TY

the fuel filter is underchassis adjacent to the fuel tank
Ano po ba ang kadalasang inaayos kung exhaust system ang problema?
check for kinked tailpipe, bent exhaust pipe, dented of flattened exhaust pipe and check for catalytic converter clogging. you can test this using an engine vacuum gauge. with the engine warmed up, snap the throttle open and watch the vacuum drop, then hold the throttle at around 2000 rpm and watch the vacuum gauge hold steady around 15 inches of mercury. if the vacuum drops while you hold the engine speed at 2000 rpm, the exhaust is more than likely clogged

April 12th, 2013 02:26 PM #6carb type ba ito? kung oo, check the fuel delivery system. nabanggit na yung filter. change it.
kung kaya ng resources mo, drain mo yung fuel tank mo, have it cleaned and refill with new fuel.
then yun carb, i-check mo kung may pumapasok na gasoline. kung meron, baka dun mismo sa loob ng carb ang problem. ibig sabihin ipagawa mo sa espesyalista.

April 14th, 2013 03:14 AM #8haha same prob here .. intermitent cold star problem.. same model same issues. started last feb. lahat ginawa ko na change> oil, oil filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, had my gas tank drained, changed to higher octane gas,.. every now and then bumabalik pa din. although na lessen ung topak. bumabalik lang sya pag may importante ako na lakad hehe. Ang work around ko pag nag loko ung oto is i leave it for 10 to 15 minutes then saka ko sya start ulit. then normal na sya the whole day . pero ung technique ko sa second start (after waiting 10 to 15 minutes), press the accelerator down to the floor then start the engine. pag nag start na sya ulit stable na rpm nya. to this post 3 weeks na hindi nag loloko. But im sure the problem is still there. Ang hindi ko pa ginagalaw is ung mechanical fuel pump, carburetor(overhaul), and ung high tension wire.
kung di mo makita fuel filter. dalahin mo sa suking gas station na may lifter petron o shell. white na plastic part sya na makikita mo sa ilalim ng driver side bago mag gas tank. 100 pesos lang un... sa kanila mo na papalitan sabay mo na din change oil kung hindi mo pa nagagawa.. kaso mahirap maghanap ng fuel filter nyan eh. kung meron ka man makita, hindi kasya sa bracket. ung akin ginamitan na lang ng lock tie.

April 14th, 2013 03:03 PM #10pwede.. kutob ko sa carburador na nga yan eh.. pero palit ka na din fuel filter. mejo mahirap i DIY yan. ung location kase sa ilalim. advise lang kung ikaw mag papalit fuel filter, buksan mo muna gas tank and ingat sa sirit ng gas sa mukha mo. ung tension madale lang plug and play lang ika nga. take a picture of your current plug before taking it off para may reference ka. o di kaya lagyan mo masking tape at numberan mo. post mo kung naayos mo problema via tension wire replacement. unleaded ba gamit mo na gas?
