most of the testimonial comes from big truck users...
hope that doesn't affect pressure...
mas safe parin ang magnet like the BMW and helicopters.
but ordinary oil filter needs testing first. I'll try opening a used oil filter and see of the metals will really stick in the magnet attached from the outside.
Generally speaking I don’t like oil additives or very expensive oils, at least in most ordinary conditions,
And when we consider that the oil is not intended to reach upper cylinders, top piston rings, valve seats and valve stems and guides, what I consider the real core of the engine.
Rod bearings are meant to float on a thin film of oil, problems occur during a dry start up, the time before the pressurized oil reaches the bearings, and if the oil becomes too dirty it will act as a sort of grinding compound, I pre-lubricate by using the starter to rotate the crank a few turns, this gets the oiling system pressurized before electric current is sent to the ignition, as I find it much easer to do starter maintenance, new brushes etc. then installing new rod or main bearings.
IMO, I'd rather spend the money on buying a top quality motor oil than buying additives w/c do not blend well with motor oils.
