Anyone tried Total Excellium? I am an XCS user pero nung nasubukan ko ito, parang mas malakas humatak yung sasakyan ko.

My Vios ranks XCS lower than the cheapest unleaded.

Engine felt smoother and quieter on Excellium. Better than Gold or my usual Nitro+.

Same lang para sa akin ang excellium at xcs in terms of power pero mas tipid sa konsumo ang excellium by a little lang.
Eto ranking in terms of fuel consumption:
    1. Total Excellium
    2. Petron XCS/Caltex Gold
    3. Shell Nitro +

switched back to Excellium from Shell Nitro +

    Comparative notes:

    a. mas malakas humatak.
    b. mas matipid ang FC.... * Shell, i average 10 kpl sa Altis....

Same with Unioil. Aside from that, puro jeepney drivers lang.

For 99% of Filipinos, big 3 pa rin ang quality fuel. A Shell/Petron site will probably do 1.5-2x the volume compared to if it was Seaoil/Total/Unioil.

its what you call brand mindset. kung sino ang kilala, yun ang bibilihin.
if you look at the big 3, mababa ang usage and market share ng Chevron.... People here prefer Shell and Petron dahil for one, Shell spends millions of pesos in marketing.... Petron, is a Filipino owned company.

same as in toothpaste.... Colgate and Close-up lang....

Chevron's market shared has declined significantly in the past 5 years. They are now less than 15% of the market, while Shell and Petron control roughly 70%.

The company is divesting a lot of their operations in the country. They have closed down their refinery in Batangas and is now only an oversized depot. They no longer operate their retail sites, offloading the task to branded wholesalers (Northern Star in the North and Southern Cross in the South).

They're not very competitive in terms of pricing and operations, and a lot of their sites in provinces are awfully mismanaged. I wouldn't be surprised if in 5 years, there would be someone else holding the top 3 spot in the petroleum industry.

OT: my friend is a distributor of Sistema and I like their toothbrushes, much softer than anything Colgate or Oral-B offers. Their toothpastes are ok too but I don't see how they're significantly differentiated from Colgate.

Since all toothpastes are the same to me, I just buy Happee because I admire Lamoiyan's vision to take on the big multinationals.

satisfied ako sa Excellium.. dati ang 1T - 20 liters ko nakaka 120 to 130 kms lang.. ngayon nakaka 150 to 170kms na.. same route, same traffic.. so from 6.5kml nakaka 8+kml na ako.. 1 peso difference per liter sa unleaded.. so sa 20 pesos difference.. kung 6 pesos per km.. i get more than 200+ pesos more..

I've tested this on two different occasions, and I'd have to agree.

Hindi s'ya placebo effect lang eh. Ramdam ko talaga yung additional hatak.

On an even keel, halos hindi ko na tapakan accelerator to cruise eh. It actually even accelerates, so naka abang pa ako sa brakes.
