Tanong ko lang po, is it normal or may tolerance ba yung nawawalang oil after a long drive or a long time? Acceptable ba ang top-up oil refilling para lagi "maximum" level and langis sa dip stick?

    experience ko..
my oil level stays on the level from the time its filled-up during the change oil process up to the time it is changed after 5k kms.

pero, imho, tolerable level should be around 1/8 liter in between oil changes.

ideally dapat walang significant lost of oil till your next oil change. kung nababawasan before next oil change check kung maitim ang spark plugs or maitim ang usok, kasi baka may leak na sa mga seals or rings.

Are you sure it's an actual loss or lack of oil? You must also consider that after a long run, a good amount of the oil is up in the engine doing its job protecting the critical parts, so if you check your oil right after a long run then you'll definitely get a lower reading. That's why it's ideal to let it sit for a few minutes after the engine has shut off (and also after letting it cool down properly) before you even check the oil. Do so on level ground too.

The most ideal, is to have oil in between the max and min markings, because in case you make the mistake of overfilling, at least you can see that the oil level is in between the two, rather than make the mistake of overfilling only to realize the level actually exceeded the max mark, which can be harmful to the engine. Remember, the engine needs a certain amount of oil pressure to work properly, not all cars have an oil pressure gauge but if you have one you'll know the oil pressure rises when the engine speed increases. So if you add too much oil, guess what? The pressure increases too much also, that's why it's harmful to overfill the engine, because the seals and gaskets will be working double time.

    Hope that helps

check the engine for leaks or signs na kinakain nya yung oil. then fix the problem.

Tolerance ng nawawalang oil if there's no sign of dripping/leakage?
