Universal ata talaga ang every 2 yrs replacement for brake fluid for any car. Almost all manuals I see ganun eh.
I came across a manual for a 70's era Volkswagen, and even with old school mechanical (non boosted brakes aka. "hydrovac" etc.), the maintenance interval for b. fluid replacement is 2 yrs din. (Interestingly, recommended oil API standard was "SE" pa- ancient)

Though scrupulous ako with oil changes and other fluids, my daily driver Vios (with less than 18,000 kms on the odometer) got its first ever brake fluid flush on its 5th yr.

Naman kasi, halos minimal brake wear, and only about 4-5mm from the full line binaba ng fluid (no top ups, ever) but when I checked the fluid for moisture content, nasa danger level na I must have been lucky...
