Tsk tsk tsk....

I once often left my pick-up stored for a month. Then when I come back, I just put back the battery and start the engine. Andar naman parati.

One time I did not come back for more than two months. When I started the engine, it sounded terrible - like there was no oil in the engine. It sounded terrible for a few minutes. I noticed also that medyo mausok na.

But I now use the vehicle more regularly and it still works fine.

    I would:

    1. Check the fuel first for moisture.
    2. Check fuel filter for sediment build up.
    3. Pump or prime fuel through filter.
    4. Heat up glow plug for more than usual.
    5. Crank it by giving it a few clicks not really starting.
    6. After a few cranks, let it start.
    7. Be sure to have a spare battery on hand.
