We had our car compression tested in two reputable shop

    1st shop reads

    175.120.175.175

    2nd shop reads

    250.225.250.250

The car is 6 years old and 100T plus km reading
This two shops are good and reputable dito sa site so I won't mention the name
Baket magkaiba ng reading? is there something wrong with the car?

Obviously cylinder 2 has either loose piston rings or leaking valves.

The simple test (i think) is to remove the cylinder head, turn it upside down and pour water on the valves (of cylinder 2) and wait. If water drains, then it's a leaking valve. If water doesn't drain, it's faulty piston rings.

As for the readings, I don't know if the difference is still within tolerance though.

did the two shops mentioned here used the same setup and procedure to get the readings? did they use identical compression test equipment?
but one thing is obvious, both have low readings shown in cyl 2.

the best sana kung meron shop dyan na gumagawa ng ELECTRONIC COMPRESSION TEST , and that will be done from the battery .

this is pinpoint diagnostics procedure , no guessing and it only takes few minutes without touching the engine.
